Ok folks I know that this is not a Gladiator. I can tell the obvious differences. But when I saw it pass by me I had to quickly turn around and see if it was a Gladiator or if it was one of those custom jobs that looks an awful lot like a Gladiator and probably cost as much to customize just to look like one. Bigger bed(looked to be about 6 feet long), very high ground clearance. Fail to understand the tiny step hoops.
What passed you was the AEV brute double cab. It has a 5’ bed, and the “tiny step hoops” I’m assuming your referring to the rub rails on the rear bumper? That’s for protection, and not really a step. That’s the upfit that jeep clearly used as a template for the gladiator build. Dave Harriton did it first haha

The Rubicon can’t either. The sport can tho ;)
Wrong! The rubicon can tow 7000lbs, the sport can tow 7500 lbs. I don’t understand the difference, but it is what it is. :0)

Rubicon yes

false, lol

The sport with max tow can do 7650, not 7500.

I know I know everybody was close.
What is different about suspension that prevents the rubicon from
Towing 7600 lbs?

7650, and I think people have said the biggest thing is that its heavier by 400 lbs, and then.....i dunno gearing, different shocks/springs geared more for off-road than towing? Not sure, but to me, 7000 lbs is still probably 2000 lbs more than i've ever towed. Sure i probably can't haul a 24' camper, but i don't own one of those either. And if i get one someday......hopefully i can afford a 3/4 ton diesel to get the job done....lol

I just want to be able to tow my trailer with band equipment. So I can sell my wrangler and 2500 Cummins and get down to one vehicle.
