I'm just as frustrated as everyone else waiting this long, however it is only making the GCM LE's even rarer than they already are.
The problem is that they will still build all of the GC LE orders that came in originally which will prolong it for those still waiting. My dealer had 3 GC LE orders and all of us have moved on to other options. They still have to use their allotments for those as they will still be produced and delivered.

Who's left on the Granite Crystal Metallic wait list? Had a few more drop in the last week or two...

LEs (all C status): @BillyBob, @gsxr310, @HikerBob, @jctnt1, @jncomatrix, @Jprepp, @kayakmike, @Magnus Rudis, @Michaelamici, @panic1372, @Rubicon Bob, @SledHead, @Skyler7381, @Spyder, @terrordbn, @Tom in Long Island NY, @tanman, @WildJD
Non-LEs:
  • @ScottA (Rubi, color fenders, black dual top) D1 status 7/15
  • @homerun (Rubi, manual, color fenders, black dual top) D status 7/15
  • @sog (Sport S, manual) F status 7/15
  • @Beerbreedreverend, (Rubi man black top/fenders 8.4 aux switches trail rail cloth interior)
Granite LE RIP list:
4/26: @Jeepznthingz -> White LE
4/26: @pilotpat -> White LE
4/26: @robbyr1000 -> White LE
6/28: @nate320 -> Black LE
7/3: @Rebel JT -> TBD
7/15: @Nujejep -> Black LE
7/15: @Jensen66 -> Red LE
???: @mimms123 -> ???

(will update this post as I get new folks that I inadvertently forgot)
Take me off the list. I have bailed on the granite!
Pulled the trigger on a Black LE yesterday. The dealership called ready to deal on a black one that the original buyer backed out on. It came down to about $500 difference from what I was thinking would be worth jumping ship and I decided my sanity was worth the $$.

Good luck to you all!

So... I’ve decided when I get my GCMLE window sticker... with “This vehicle made especially for Wild JD” printed in the upper right hand corner... I’m going to frame it, and hang it in a place of honor, in my ranch office. It’ll become part of the provenance when my Grandchildren take the only remaining bone stock GCMLE Gladiator to auction at Barrett-Jackson in 2050... just sayin’... ;{

So I feel like I'm a little late to the party in this thread, but in my cursory glance, it seems like it took people considerable time to get VINs? The reason I ask is I put in an order that went through on 6/11 and got a VIN maybe two days later. That said, I have then been firmly stuck in D ever since.

Order info: Rubicon, Granite Crystal Met. Clear Coat, M/T, LEDs, Towing, Bedliner, Cold Weather, 8.4" Screen, Safety, Tonneau, Cargo

Well none of us who have ordered GCM Launch Editions have VINs. Does yours have black top or color matching? From what many of us have been able to ascertain is that their is a problem with the paint matching on color matching tops. I am sure there is definitely more to the story for the delay though.

Right. Mine does indeed not have a color matching top. Black top/fenders for me.

@ScottA ordered a Rubi (color fenders, black top) that is D1 with an estimated build date of 7/26 (Friday). Every other Granite Rubi is C (Granite LEs on order 4/3 or 4/4) or D (more recent non-LE Rubi’s, black top/color fenders). Yours is another data point that the tops seem to be the issue.

Roger that. I was originally worried that mine being a M/T would cause a significant delay, but those builds seem to be progressing now (or at least more than they previously were). Jeep Chat this morning gave me no indication as to why I remain in D and told me to seek further information from my dealer. I no longer seek coherence from any party that purports to have usable information.

Yeah, the only certainty is Jeep doesn't have a clue what's going on with our builds. If you talk to 3 different Jeep sources, they will give you 3 different answers. Frustrating as hell, especially for those of us who ordered Granite LEs 16! weeks ago now and no one at Jeep can tell us if/when they will actually start building them. There a bit of hope now that we are seeing Sport S in people's driveways (including a M/T), and hopefully the first black top Rubi being built this week. Still, 16 weeks of waiting may make some of us, oh, a little bitter on the whole process. The fact that they can't even throw us a VIN doesn't instill any confidence that builds will be coming soon.

It’s, basically, just the Granite Crystal Metallic LE’s (Launch Editions) that aren’t getting VINs (for 6 months)... and stuck in “C” status. ;{

Well guys, it has now happened to me as well. Just talked to Brenda in chat and she said I have moved back to D status from D1 and she cannot tell me why so she is escalating to the Brand Team. Will be interesting to see what they say.

Probably nothing, she told me the same thing after being in c status for over a month, that was at least a month ago and I haven't heard anything and I'm still in c status as of this morning.

Called the concierge...Barbara.....said still in C status. She said the reason for the delay is getting the paint to match when they paint the top. smh!!!! If the paint is not from the same batch, regardless if you paint on or off vehicle, it will not match. Go buy carpet for instance from a store. Go to another store and ask for the same brand and color and it will not match! why?!? its not from the same dye/paint run! Barbara had no resolution and no eta to share. The reason for the delay is the paint......like we dont know this! argh!

It’s GOT to be something else!
The paint excuse is just TOO LAME!
It’s not friggin’ BRAIN SURGERY!
How many YEARS does it take for an established, professional, auto manufacturer, too solve a paint match problem, for vehicles that (for all practical purposes) were PURCHASED 6 months ago! FCA... GET YOUR FRIGGIN’ ACT TOGETHER! Can you say “CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT?” :angry: ;{

Agree with your frustration, but having trouble with the purchased 6 months ago. Earliest you could order a Granite LE was 4/3. That has been 110 days (as of today), 16 weeks (on Wednesday), or 4 months (next Saturday 8/3). Jeep may not be factual with us, but we should be factual in our documentation of their failures.
