RED Rubicon Lettering on Hood (Outlined?)

For some reason, I have not seen a Red JT Rubicon in person (or a photo close enough to the hood lettering).

I was trying to see if the word "Rubicon" is just black or if the letters are outlined (in color-matched red...or black).

I wanted to order a set that says, "Gladiator" but want the same letter style.

This type is the most difficult to install. I did mine with solid letters + outline last week using the "wet method" and it went surprisingly well. The ones with the outline only are a little more finicky and delicate, so just go slow and take your time. Use plenty of wet solution so you can move the decal around a little and scrape all the air and water out when you're happy with placement.

Skip to 1:25 in this video. I've done a ton of various decals over the years and this is by far the easiest way to do it.

I ended up buying 1/8" black pin striping to repair it. Its good to go now. I used the center tape hinge method, but if I was to do another I thick hinging the top might be better. Actually an extra set of hands could help due to the length of the decal and compound shape of the hood.
I did mine dry.

Once you do the 'wet' method, you won't try any other way. So much easier!

Wetter is better.

Just to jump on the and wagon here, yes the Rubicon logo is red outlined on any color truck, even red. The reds are different, the logo is slightly more crimson.

I like the thin line outline logo, might look good as a matte body color against gloss paint.
