I’m going to put 37’s on my JT when it arrives at dealership in a few weeks and was planning on also doing the 18 in black rhino armory wheels. After talking to discount tire, i’m having some second thoughts on wheel choice. They said they have seen some issues with warped rotors on a Toyota Tacoma that had 2 sets warp with 15k miles. The truck previously had 50k miles with no problems until the wheel was changed to the armory. Are my concerns warranted? Any of you guys put substantial mileage on the armory wheels on a JT, JK or JL as I would think the brakes are similar.

The bolt rusting issue is supposedly solved with a new coating they are doing. The new version should be available in 2-4 weeks after making it through customs. I’m more concerned about the 40 lb wheel weight and how that will affect braking.

Those wheels are SO heavy. I’d think twice especially since you didn’t mention 4.88 gears or upgraded brake pads
