Gator Gladiator can now be ordered!

Ain't that the truth!

Black fenders, black hardtop, black cloth seats, and satin black grille is significantly cheaper than body color top and fenders with dark saddle seats, but cost really isn't the main factor here.

My black JK Rubi was body color and my wife's Punkin JLU Sahara is body color, so I have no experience with the black fenders and hardtop.

Do they fade? If so, anyway I can stop that?

It’s a hard call man. Just like the fender flairs, I think it looks good going either way.

I definitely want the Body Colored Hard Top. Struggling with the fenders. Concerned about fade in the Southern Sun. Currently thinking that i’ll Get body matched fenders and wrap them in matte black...

Confirmed. Dealer called and said Gator available in black hardtop and body color hardtop. I go see him Thursday.

Order placed today in NY. Sport S Gator with black hard top. Went through with no problem finally.

My obviously challenged dealer can’t get an order for gator to take... he said he tried all day and will escalate to his regional boss tomorrow.

Finally I can place my order! I got an email into my local dealer.

Here is the weird thing... I know someone in direct contact with the Toledo JT assembly plant manager, and just 2 days ago I was told by him that Gator will not be available until November.
I was also told that they just ran a color harmony test last week. I'm guessing we are not going to see these orders delivered until November.
I just asked for more clarification.

Yeah, I gave him (the sales manager) that instruction but he said he couldn't get it to take on Gator only. All I can do is share these examples of how it works for others and keep bugging him

This totally makes sense.. and we all would appreciate any more clarification you're able to get! My must-have is that it be delivered by the end of the year or I'm screwed on my discount code, so if it doesn't seem likely Gator can be delivered by then, then I need to switch to Black :/

I have my VON. Gator Rubicon with black hardtop and fenders and dark saddle leather. All options except upgraded wheels (yuck), proximity (a fob is more than enough for me), tonneau (not interested, I'll get a proper truck cap when they come out), and smokers group (I've never smoked in my entire life).

Now I wait, and read jeep catalogs

My salesman had been out all week till today. I went in to order mine on Saturday with him. In his defense, he blew out his knee and was doing good to even be walking Saturday. They had my order on hold till the 3-piece hard top opened up. I got confirmation it was ordered first this thing morning and that the order was in my name not my wife's since it was a joint purchase for loan purposes, not for driving, etc. I made sure to tell them it was very important my name be on it because the Gladiator was not built for just her. It is either both of us or just me! Saw my boss today for the first time since I ordered it. I had been put in for a bonus I used as part of the down payment. I had to tell my supervisor they were an enabler. hahaha

Super happy to have the order confirmation. How long does it take to get a VIN number so I can trace the steps of the build? I think I ordered everything but the engine warmer, smoker package, bluetooth speaker and bed cover. I seriously hate that I had to pick leather seats to get the interior to not be red! I just could not handle a year long christmas theme. Wish they offered cloth option with the dash change. Oh well, it's still gonna be awesome!! Can't wait to get it.
