So when someone clicks the steel bumper option on the build sheet, are they going to get this instead of the existing steel bumper with removable wings? Because in all honesty, I prefer that one to this new version (especially in stubby form).
And the one with removable wings is cheaper at I think $795 from the factory, not sure what it resales for since they have been in short supply. The average cost of an aftermarket bumper with a hoop or stinger is like $650-$800

Hi John,

Mopar has posted the installation instructions and it does not include the plate. This can be viewed here http://starparts.chrysler.com/info/default/K6862767.pdf

Thanks,
Benny

Is the required Skid Plate Kit # 82215183 the same as used on the Rubicon JT/JL optional steel front bumper? I was curious if this bumper required a different skid plate/air dam.

When I was going to initially order my Rubicon JT the front steel bumper option was not available (short supply), later when I ordered it was. I would purchased this bumper if I did not already have the front steel bumper.

Current sale price is around $1K, so not far off the Rubi steel bumper. I like this one, it has a clean, simple design that would look good on the Sport and be more substantial than the plastic one.
Cheers

Is there a filler plate for the front and top if a winch is not mounted?
Cheers

Good question, I can see from the install sheet one is not included but we are still waiting for the serviceable parts breakdown to become available to confirm as sometimes they do leave optional parts out of the install docs.

Benny, I have a couple questions. On your site it says the following.

"Winch capable for Wrangler JL only."

Does this mean it's somehow not winch-capable on the JT? That wouldn't make sense to me.

Also, you say "Not compatible with LED Fog Lamps."

Does this mean we just need to modify the OEM brackets a bit, or is there no way the LEDs can work with this bumper? Very disappointing, if true.

Thanks for your insight.

The Winch capabilities do apply to both the JL and JT, We will have this updated. As for the LED's mopar had no further information to share when i called earlier today.
