We're in the process of doing a rear seat delete on our JT. (Seat is out but nothing else yet) I have seen others on this forum doing the same thing, but I haven't seen a dedicated thread on the topic. I hope we can get some great ideas going here so that it will be easy to reference it as we go! I'm looking forward to seeing what great ideas everyone comes up with!

Did my own. Steel base using the stock seat mounts, marine plywood top with pins, bed rug. Could not see paying a grand for that uni-strut bolt together kit. $150 invested plus a left-over bed rug gets reused....and I can load a trillion pounds on it (or 3 dogs and some camping equipment) Might stuff my rifles underneath plus winch straps and tie downs. Nothing against a kit....just like doing my own stuff.
Yep!

but I installed the kurgo pet backseat liner... like I said my DIY pooch platform rear seat removal was just that. Much comfy stuff afterward

it was a 24x48" plastic grate that was sold at Blains Farm and Fleet .. not sure what it was used for but I adapted it for my rig...
