Since it is winter, I am using Uconnect to start the Gladiator. The app Face ID thing, then it says the request is sent, and then it says it may take 30 seconds for this to happen, and then you get a message that the request was received but I don’t see it every show that the truck is actually running. Or am I just looking in the wrong places?

The app doesn't specifically show the truck is running, but in my experience, if it shows request received, the truck is running.

As Jeff stated, it is usually running, but since it has a 15 minute time out. It would be nice if the app would show the actual status of the vehicle. I don’t know why your Gladiator won’t start, could it be because you have a manual transmission? I don’t think remote start is available on those. However if you have the remote start that works on your key fob, I would think the Uconnect App should work?

You're right, that would be nice. On my old Tacoma, the add on kit had a timer in the app that would show how far into the 15 minute timer you were. It would be nice to knw too if it didn't start because of one of the cases that can cause that, like low fuel or a check engine light. My old JKU didn't have the app, but if I had a failed remote start, it would show me on the dash screen when I got in why it did. Seeing that in the app would be really nice.

It takes way too long for any command to be sent. I use the remote and there is no wy I will pay for guardian if it's still this crappy next year.

Agreed the app is next to useless, and the service offer almost no value. You can sometimes sent destinations and they are there when you get in the truck.

Yeah its pretty much garbage. No way I would pay for it.
I guess, I disagree. While the app could be better. I can’t start my Gladiator from my desk at work with the key fob, but I can start it with the app. That makes the app worthwhile for that alone.

I agree, not sure I would spend just for that, value is unique for everyone. They can fix this hopefully they do.

Remote starting is cool and that push button can get exhausting, but at almost 450.00 a year, it's not that cool for me. It's just just annoying that they put this system in such an expensive truck. And it works like shit. I wish they would have put some memory in the radio and some cameras that record. That would have been very useful.

Obviously, I have owned my Gladiator for about 3 weeks, so I am under the trial program where it works for something like free. I am assuming that for the $450 you will get XM radio as well? Which makes it still over priced, and if they don’t offer a deal I may lose the use of the app. Although when the weather is like now, I might be willing to pay for it anyway.

That's just for the guardian part. It's like 18 a month. So I guess it's more like 360 with tax. We get it for a year free but (I've only had mine 2 months almost) but unless they fix it, I wont be paying.
