True... The one short coming if it, plus the side windows should open like a hatch for easy access.
also don’t think it will hold nearly as much weight as Maximus overland rack.... aka a RTT with two or more people.

that price point for ARE seems extremely high as well but I never bought one of those fiberglass toppers before so maybe that is the ball park for those. Hoping Maximus has that beat as well with their overland rack.

back to the waiting game!

@Maximus-3, any new pics/news/products to share? (trying to get this thread back on track after I helped derail it.)

A few questions as I continue to plan my build and impatiently wait for your products to come available :CWL::

Roof rack:
- wanted to confirm the removal of the freedom panels are still functional. (Looks like it in the pics)
- does not work with bestop sunrider

Overland rack:
- does it work with the trail rails?
- in the pictures you show the aluminum plating that looks like ties into a trail rail system. Is this system the Mopar trail rail or your own system?

thanks in advance!
answering this could help get it back on track too lol

I think Max-3 has had some kind of production/development problem. Usually we hear from the rep pretty quick.
Or maybe they're getting tired of answering the same questions over and over? Not trying to be a jerk, but most of the questions on here are repeats and have been answered.

We will be revealing more about the install this week. It does work with the factory trail rail system. UPDATE: Just stopped by and spoke with the great people at Decked. I can now confirm that our bed racks will work with the Decked system.
Yes, our bed racks will work with OE soft top.
Our cabin roof rack will not work.
They are mounted on a plank system that we designed. We will show more on that soon.
* We still have plenty of testing to conduct post-SEMA.
* Its unlikely that our racks will work with factory tonneau covers, BUT we are working on our own cover solution.
Great minds think alike. Since conception of the Overland Rack we have been planning on offering an optional canvas top. Think military vehicle style that can roll-up or be tied down.
We are on it.
Full details will be released in the coming weeks. The system will be modular. We plan on shipping unassembled (flat-pack)

All Maximus-3 products come standard with powder-coat or other finishes.
We recommend calling-in your special requests (bare steel, etc.) Most of the time we can accommodate with reasonable lead-times.
The Maximus-3 JT Overland Rack is an incredibly strong platform which is ideal for supporting all types of tents. Some tents may require special mounting hardware, but its safe to say nearly all tents will be adaptable to our rack.
We are exploring several different cover/top solutions. Although just to be clear most tonneau covers are technically water resistant not waterproof.
The factory tonneau is a NO-GO at this time, but we will have several aftermarket tonneau options.
Facts of the matter:
* The factory tonneau occupies the mounting space for our bed rack.
* When two parts compete for the same space, one must go or be modified.
* Our Bed Rack mounting method is beautiful and capable of supporting heavy loads - we aren't changing it.

I can say two things about any rack that works with the factory tonneau.
1. The mounting system will look funky
2. They will only be able to support a fraction of the weight compared to ours.
Thanks @Gecko-JKU, we are working on several cover options to give the people what they want. Also the production model is even better than the prototype. We will be releasing new photos ASAP.
JT Roof Rack = about a week away. Just buttoning up the install guide.
JT Overland Rack = about 3-5 weeks. Components are still being manufactured.
From February 26 = March 1, which is an estimate only.

(Sport Bar)approx 4-6 weeks
From February 26 = March 8, which is an estimate only.

I understand everyone is excited to see these available for purchase, but fabrication issues, material supplier issues, powdercoat scheduling issues, etc. may impact actual release dates; I'd rather they ensure the end product is 100% quality-wise (which their products typically are) than have them rush something out. Give them a chance to get it right; it's not like they've taken anyone's money then continue to make excuses for delays.

And for the love of God: I can understand people not searching first (or having issues with the search function), but at least read the entire thread before asking a question (this is not directed at you, @BajaDrifter but at posters in general). :headbang:

We have been busy developing these racks.
ROOF RACK
* Yes our JT Roof Rack fully allows freedom panel removal
* Our production JT Roof Rack does not work with the Sunrider for Hardtop from Bestop. Basically the rack platform we provide is about a foot too long to allow the Sunrider to fold up. To make that combo work one could custom cut/trim the rack platform or custom mount further rearward.

OVERLAND RACK
* Works with or without the factory trail rail
* Those planks mount to our Maximus-3 system

I think Max-3 has had some kind of production/development problem. Usually we hear from the rep pretty quick.

I think the ARE cap is in the 2500 to 3000 range which is pretty pricey if you ask me. From what I understand it's strong enough for a rtt as it is the HD model constructed for just that.
No problems here. Maximus-3 puts an incredible amount of time into Engineering, Research & Development, Manufacturing, and Testing. Probably more than most companies...and we do not rush products to market. We are working hard everyday to bring these racks to market as soon as possible.

Thank you for the update/info. Prefer you take your time and get it right. We can wait... Maybe.

Maximus-3 products will be there, but we are not attending that event as a company this year.
