It is a bit higher and also draws in cooler air away from the engine bay. Plus you can apparently connect the full-height snorkel to this when needed, so you don't have to drive around the street with the full one.

A lot colder air to the engine then under the hood, where the air is a lot hotter, For those fording they have the option of removing the high snorkel that runs to the top of the windshield (not shown it Picture) when not needed, If you look at how its installed it looks very easy to install. I dont believe under the hood intake system like K&N do much to aid combustion and just a waste of money,

Looks great. I like the white accent you did at the top. I had not seen that. I have the red model...will most likely do the same thing.

Mine came in last week, but I'm in Germany at the moment. I also bought the mopar gator spray paint. Any tips you can share on painting the snorkel? I'm painting the cowl piece, but undecided on the extension. I was thinking of doing that top inlet (white in your pic) in the red to match the rubicon dash and lettering.

Any chance of a picture from the drivers position? I'm very concerned that because of its location over the glass it creates a visual obstruction
