I masked it off scoffed with scotch bright to ruff it up for the paint to stick. 4 to six coats of paint and then clear take your time mask really good
Mine came in last week, but I'm in Germany at the moment. I also bought the mopar gator spray paint. Any tips you can share on painting the snorkel? I'm painting the cowl piece, but undecided on the extension. I was thinking of doing that top inlet (white in your pic) in the red to match the rubicon dash and lettering.

Any chance of a picture from the drivers position? I'm very concerned that because of its location over the glass it creates a visual obstruction
Here you go it dont really block anything

Painted and installed. I will say the fit isn't perfect, but it beats cutting a hole in the hood. Also, if you plan on painting it, sand it more than I did, as I can still see the texture of the plastic (the texture matches the stock fender flares). I might take it off and paint the block off cowl piece the snorkel rests on.

@JP1 - Can you please post a pic of your snorkel from this angle so that I can compare the different setups? Thanks!
I will say mine doesn't stick out that far.
I'll try to get a better pic. Looking thru what I have, I found one of Rachel...

Where this one looks like it sits more in front of the A-Pillar, mine lines up closer to 45degrees.

I do like the looks of the rugged ridge and am worried about how disruptive it is going to be when you drive from a vision perspective? There is no way to tell without driving one with it LOL... Decisions Decisions as always!

Oh, don't get me wrong here. I'm not selling, just the messenger.
Had the RR one been available, that's what I'd be running.
I think mine sits better but would only put the snorkel on when needed.

any thoughts on sound or performance difference? I know performance is minimal anyway, but I’m curious to see if there is a noticeable drone because it’s so much closer to the windshield, whether you get more throat to the engine, etc.
