That’s great, it sounds like you’re in the conundrum I was in. I will keep this truck for 15+ years, so ultimately I decided I’d just do the bartact seat covers because I thought the leather would end up cracking and looking like shit. Especially down here in the heat of Tampa, FL.
Go figure once I went with the Rubi I ended up with the saddle brown leather lol. I personally am not a fan of the red dash and red stitching and I DO really like the saddle brown leather so I said fuck it I’m doing the leather!

My sheet is definitely detailed, as it’s not an easy comparison between the two. @Alabama Mud Machine knows from another post I was really on the fence.
I think I’ll setup a new post on the forums for others to use when they are in the market. It lets you see the total out the door cost with tax/tag/title and monthly payments based off XX months and XX apr.
I wanted the leather, but my daughter, girlfriend & her daughter all wanted cloth. The truck I traded in was an F140 with black leather & anyplace the sun was on for more then about 5 minutes would burn them all summer long. The summers here are hot (90's & low 100's most summer days) & dry so they with their short shorts & tank tops have skin that touch's the seats directly. I dont have that problem & really just like the look & being able to easily wipe off whatever mess the kids left.

I got a red truck & still dont care for the red rubi dash. I have been debating on the Mopar leather dash kit. And if I end up doing leather seats I will get red stitching & for sure do it. Then just need to swap the steering wheel from a Rubi to complete it.

Man, I haven't seen an F-140 in a long time... Wasn't that the superturbocharged version of the F-14 Tomcat?

Just busting your balls man. :CWL:

Seriously I have the worst damn keyboard..
It's all good man. I was just messing with you. Forums are also about having fun. Some people forget to include that aspect of them. Some folks are always all-business. We call them "Buzz Killingtons". :)

I laughed at it... A few minutes ago I got so mad & yelled a this POS keyboard & my girlfriend said just to order another one... So I did... Now in about 3 weeks when Amazon gets around to delivering it I will have to take responsibility for my constant typos.

Yeah, Amazon has been pissing me off lately. My steering stabilizer has been being held hostage by them for about 2 weeks now... They should be shipping it tomorrow, since they just withdrew the money for it from my account today when I checked it... Those bastards are taking forever to ship things. I waited nearly a month for my D-ring shackles and screen protector for my phone (old one was shattered).

My keyboard of my Mid-2012 MacBook Pro just started crapping-out a few months ago (the middle row keys (ASDFGHJKL) which you use for nearly EVERY word in the english language... But the rest work fine. I ordered a bluetooth keyboard that's modeled after the MBP keyboard, and it sits right on top of my MBP keyboard and I can still use the track pad for the mouse. Only thing that sucks is that the keyboard has a time-out cutoff, so you have to "wake it" back up by hitting the space bar and giving it a second to reconnect to the computer. Otherwise, it was a cheap and easy fix for now, until I can send my MBP off to get the keyboard replaced.

Ive given up on them for fast shipping. I placed an order for like 6 things the same day early last week & none of the 3 from Amazon have gotten here. So I wasnt able to get my coils & shocks installed this weekend. But low & behold the stuff I ordered from eBay via Bam & extremeterrain were both here on Thursday. Quadratec got everything shipped out but none of that is here yet either. The tires & wheels were ordered way before, but they havent shipped yet either from customoffsets, but I wasnt expecting them to be quick.

All I really got to do to my JT this weekend was find a dirt hill steep enough to have to lock it into 4lo to climb, but its otherwise waiting for everything else.

I got you beat on that one... Discount Tire shipped all 4 of my tires out at the SAME time (I know this because I talked to the guy there), and they placed them all 4 into the SAME FedEx truck. Somewhere along the way, FedEx managed to get 1 tire separated from the rest, and 3 arrived at my house on a Friday, and the 4th one arrived the following Tuesday... How f*cking dumb can these people be??? It's like they do that shit on purpose just to screw with you because they can...:mad::mad:

I have always maintained that there will be a special place in hell for FedEx. And that just proved it.

well we will see how badly they botch mine then.. I have 5x complete 35's on the wheels coming.

I had actually gone months without having FedEx deliver anything to me. My work uses UPS & Amazon had been about 90% their own drivers & the rest was USPS up until this damn plague... Now as it sits I have 6 incoming & traceable orders on FedEx & one on each of UPS & DHL. After this the only thing I have left to order is some half doors & then I will be done till I get some other stuff done at home. Then I will have to decide on the next mod. There are only a few major ones left for now. Lockers being the biggest & then bumpers & other body armor so I can play a little rough without having to be so scared. Head unit was going to happen, but I think I have pretty much decided to keep the 7" until next year in hopes that there is a solution with Native Wireless carplay that keeps all the factory stuff.

I noticed several posts about tow capacity. If I am looking at the number correctly All JTs start out with a tow capacity of 4000lbs, the Rubicon adds 500 to that number. Then you add the Tow/Max Tow package and the rating increases. You only get the maximum tow rating with the 8 speed auto. The stick appears to have a lower tow rating than the auto.

I just bought a Rubicon without a remote starter....thought I could survive without it but as it gets hotter in Texas, I miss the relief of having a cooled down interior and not getting blasted by a furnace upon opening the door. I found the Mopar kit online, but I'm worried the Uconnect smartphone app won't recognize the addition or start the Jeep, and that I'll have to carry another bulky key fob in addition to the original. Is there any way for it all to integrate like it was a factory installed item through dealer reprogramming, or am I just screwed and may as well go cheap/aftermarket?

You might install it yourself, and then have to have the ECM reflashed at the dealership for it to recognize the unit, and buy a remote start set of keys from the dealer and have them flashed to your vehicle so it's recognized and everything works 100% like factory.

The kit I got for my JK had the new factory key fobs that had the extra button for the remote start. Installed the kit and had the dealer flash the computer and it worked perfectly. My JT order has the remote start on it but I can't imagine that Jeep would have changed things much from the JK to the JL/JT that the kits for them would be much if any different.

The one & only GM product that didn't leave me burned was a Saturn. Every other one I have ever had would have the stupidest shit go wrong & then nobody could figure it out until I eventually traded them in.

I talked to the dealer about the warranty before I signed for this about mods & what I was told was completely fine by me. I dont expect anything I do to be warrantied which is why I am avoiding reading anything at all that has to do with forced induction for a few years. All the other mods I am looking at are stand alone with their own warranties or completely bolt on. Also thats the biggest reason why I didnt want any of the nanny shit. Its expensive to repair & I dont understand enough to do it myself.
All that nanny shit is insane. I refuse to own a vehicle that has all that crap on it. Some love it, and I understand that, but it's not for me. I'm glad the dealer had ordered mine the way they did. It's perfect for what I was wanting. All I cared about was a Rubicon, with the right paint color, the 8.4" Navi w/ 9-speaker Alpine, and the factory AUX switches installed. And that's what I got. Everything else was basically a "plus" since my final price was so low, it might as well not even have had those options. Their discounts were so deep it was insane, that I couldn't pass it up. I wasn't even really in the Jeep market. But as soon as I saw the truck, I was like, "Yep...I like the concept..."

I feel like the nanny shit is making people too laxed on the road. People stop paying attention because of the tech & then accidents happen.

That & I just dont wanna have to screw with it when shit starts wearing out/breaking
