I think the ranger bed must be a lot different than the Gladiator. There aren't really any bolt holes to work with in our platform. But I could be wrong!

But those clamps look really robust and high quality to me. Much better than some clamps I've seen out there.
I agree the clamps look good quality, I just don’t understand why the make brackets forother vehicles and not the Gladiator. Especially since it could be adapted to the bed rail system for the ones who have it and clamps for the ones that don’t.

Again not putting the product down at all, just think that part could be better executed for the guys who want to mount something on roof like a RTT.

The brackets you're referring to are for mounting our SmartCanopy EVO models that are available in other parts of the world. Many international trucks come with mounting nuts in all four corners of the truck bed. In those instances, we attach 90-degree brackets that go from the corner of the cap, down the bedpost, to the floor. North American trucks don't have those, so we have to clamp to the bed rails.

We do use a robust C clamp to ensure the SmartCap will not shift or move when taken off-road fully loaded with up to 330 lbs of gear on top (770 lbs static).

Yeah, I'm definitely not worried about the clamps or about having a tent on top of mine.

I would not be worried about the clamps either, but I think something utilizing the rail system would have been better. Personal opinion is all.

I know that the RSI stuff has definitely made me rethink whether to use a tray / Canopy or just a Cap.

@RSI North America Inc is the smart rack available in the US?

I do agree, it would be awesome if they came out with a mounting option to utilize the rail system - that would definitely be cleaner!

The Alu-Cab uses clamps that use the rail, I saw then in another thread.
Yeah, same here - I really like that mounting system and also the lower weight of that canopy...the RSI seems better all around for what I want though, at least at this point. Very interested to see more information come out about it - more photos, videos, first looks, etc. for the Gladiator model specifically.

This COVID crap has really thrown a wrench in the availability of any of the canopies since they are all shipped from overseas...hopefully we see more info in the next weeks.

They have a ton of options overseas for the RSI canopy overseas in which I hope they bring here. The kitchen is nice, but takes up so much space. Plus on a lifted gladiator I don’t think the “stove” is going to at a comfortable height for anyone under 6’.

But there smart rack is awesome looking.

Their tray is nice looking, almost as nice as the PCOR. Their canopy for the tray looks better, but apparently comes without anything which could be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it.

Any idea on what the estimated weight will be??
I think they're in the 160 to 170 lb. Range. Slightly heavier than an Alucab (135 lb.), but significantly more roof top load capacity I think.

Okay so basically the same as the RLD. Great!

Roughly 170 LBS for the Gladiator edition. This is true of our other mid-size caps as well. The full-size caps are closer to 200lbs.

I can't speak for Alu-cab's load capacity, but ours is 770lbs when static and 330lbs in motion.

Thank you for your kind words. Just a quick note, our Gullwing components like the Kitchen, Storage Bins, and Drawers, are all built to be put in and taken out within 15 minutes. This allows you to use them when you need them and pull them when you don't.

When you say our SmartCap XL (that is the name of the cap that goes on the SmartTray) doesn't come with anything, what are you referring to that you wish it had?
