Hey all - just bought a Rubicon X and I’m looking to buy the EVOa SmartCap. One quick question I have: does the addition of the cap sag the suspension at all?

I tried searching but wasn’t able to find my question, or maybe I’m just not asking it in the correct way. Thanks!

I noticed no additional squat in the rear of my truck when adding the EVOd. Mopar 2" lift. The tools I rotate in/out of the bed weigh more than the cap.

Maybe for you? For me personally, I’m looking to increase the amount of haul space I have for camping, etc., family of 4 to carry stuff more secure than a roll cover.

Looking at them online two of them come in at a weight of 211 lbs., can't see that being an issue at all.

I have a 2020 Rubicon with an Evo Smart Cap and a winch up front. Things kind of leveled out with that setup. I had the winch first, so I really couldn't say if the cap caused any squat.

2024 Gladiator with Smartcap Defender, MOPAR lift and Bilsteins. cap weighs 211 pounds. I run a heavy 171 pound RTT and even with that and a full iceco fridge, 80 pound power supply and camping gear it still sits level

That’s good to hear. I haven’t decided if I’m going to run an RTT yet but I planned to do that lift.

I am very pleased with the lift, it's perfect for what I do, running the local beaches and mild off-roading in state forests. I got 3.25 inches out if it but over the past year has settled a little, still a solid 3 inches.

yea I don’t plan to do major off-roading with it yet. It’s my weekend warrior camping rig. So I planned to start with a 2.5 lift and build out something I can daily drive as well as get back in the woods.
