I wanted the leather, but my daughter, girlfriend & her daughter all wanted cloth. The truck I traded in was an F140 with black leather & anyplace the sun was on for more then about 5 minutes would burn them all summer long. The summers here are hot (90's & low 100's most summer days) & dry so they with their short shorts & tank tops have skin that touch's the seats directly. I dont have that problem & really just like the look & being able to easily wipe off whatever mess the kids left. That’s great, it sounds like you’re in the conundrum I was in. I will keep this truck for 15+ years, so ultimately I decided I’d just do the bartact seat covers because I thought the leather would end up cracking and looking like shit. Especially down here in the heat of Tampa, FL.
Go figure once I went with the Rubi I ended up with the saddle brown leather lol. I personally am not a fan of the red dash and red stitching and I DO really like the saddle brown leather so I said fuck it I’m doing the leather!
My sheet is definitely detailed, as it’s not an easy comparison between the two. @Alabama Mud Machine knows from another post I was really on the fence.
I think I’ll setup a new post on the forums for others to use when they are in the market. It lets you see the total out the door cost with tax/tag/title and monthly payments based off XX months and XX apr.
I got a red truck & still dont care for the red rubi dash. I have been debating on the Mopar leather dash kit. And if I end up doing leather seats I will get red stitching & for sure do it. Then just need to swap the steering wheel from a Rubi to complete it.
