Hey guys. I picked up my Gladiator Rubicon last Saturday. I had the dealer drop it at the local Line X prior to delivery. I went to strap something down today and realized a tie down was loose. The head is stripped partially as well. There is loc tite on the bolt. I can’t get it out, so I’ll probably have to have someone heat it with a torch and remove it, then replace the bolt. Any guidance on getting this out and any idea where to get a replacement bolt?

Take it back to Line-X. Great company and they should stand behind it if they caused it They would have removed them and replaced them for the bedliner install. I just used the Line-X in Austin to do mine and they did a great job masking the open screws so I did not have to retap them to add more rings. I did find one of my screw holes is stripped, but not their fault. Looks like a factory issue.

I’ve emailed the Line X shop and sent pictures. It’s obvious they removed the bolt here. I hope they own up. If not, is this easily removed and replaced?

Wow. Really seeing a lot of lazy work come out of bed-liners here. Hopefully they own up and make it right. Make sure to check the access panels on the tailgate for servicing the camera, brakelight, and handle.

i actually have the same issue but not with line-x. I was installing something and as I screwed it back in, I stripped the bolt. Probably might have screwed it back in at an angle. Now its stripped and its not all the way in. anyone know how to take this out?

Let dealer or Line-X fix it. If you hadn't taken delivery before it went to Line-X then it is between them. Touch nothing.
Odds are high there is bed liner in the threads of the nut.

Vice Grips, on head of screw/bolt, muscle, time.

Once out, get proper sized bolt tap and tap out the threads. There is something in them.
