Wondering if anyone else has experienced this or has any insight as to how to actually get the problem resolved.

Two days ago my Sirius Trial stopped working. I found this odd since I purchased 05/11/2020 and my window sticker says I get a year for free.

I bought out of state during Coronavirus. So I call my local dealership. They say this is a problem that the dealership that sold it to me needs to handle.

I call that dealership, they keep me on hold for about 15 to 20 minutes then tell me the problem is on Sirius's side.

I call Sirius, the person I get can barely speak English, but we struggle through it. Eventually he gets my VIN Number correctly and pulls up the vehicle.

He insists there is no trial associated with that radio. I ask for more details and he keeps repeating himself in broken English. Eventually he says he can add 3 months of trial to the radio for my trouble, but only if I agree to pay for a year and give him credit card info.

That doesn't work for me so I decide to call Jeep customer service. Jeep customer service keeps telling me that my free trail is only 3 months. Which makes no sense since the window sticker right in front of me says 1 year. They tell me to call my dealership back since the 1 year was complementary from them. They can not tell me why the window sticker says 1 year.

Call that dealership back, am told this is a problem with Sirius yet again and that Sirius has to resolve it.

I call a different number for Sirius they gave me. Sirius now pulls it up by Radio ID instead of VIN. They say now that radio is registered to a Cynthia Aaron.(the refuse to elaborate on this further) Once again they offer to sell me a subscription.

At this point I have spent about two hours on this problem with no real results, and all anyone wants to do is blame another party and have me call them. As the end user with a 63k sticker price vehicle, this is ridiculous, I should not have to be putting in this much work for a problem on their end.

I purchased a JT 10 Oct 2019 (the Sirius XM was activated 9 Oct) and it quit working on 9 Oct 2020 midday. Maybe your was activated before your purchase date. Still your dealer or Sirius XM should have be able to verify why it quit working early. I noticed now the trial is only 6-months for the 2021s, this might part of the problem even though your window sticker stated you get a year trial.

Sirius XM emailed me a few times before my trial subscription was up, maybe upto 2-months ahead of time. But they shut it off exactly on the one year date.

I think mine ended before one year, but I assumed it was because there were so many Sirius products and the free radio ended before one year.
I see the following on my window sticker:
Sirius XM
Sirious XM Guarding Connected Services
Sirius XM traffic Service
Sirius XM Travel
Sirius XM Traffic Plus

I really do not use it, and have no idea of the difference in the above products, so no big deal to me, but I was under the impression that you get one year free radio.

UPDATE EDIT: My one year is not even up yet, so the more I thought about this the more it irritated me. They cancelled after nine months. After 28 min. on the phone with three different people at Sirius, ( I will spare you the games they tried to play) they reactivated me for three months.

Just to clarify, your vehicle was not pre-owned- correct? Even if it was own for a week or two, if that truck was activated, it wouldn't reset.

My dad has a JK, and my dealer got a little lazy and added the vehicle to Dad's Jeep Wave/Mopar/Uconnect/Sirius account when I bought mine. I actually just got around to fixing it last week, and it was super easy. I did the live chat with Mopar first, for their accounts. Once that was cleared up, they gave me a phone number for uconnect, and then sirius. THe sirius rep was able to change everything and put the correct dates in, etc.

My experience with Sirius is to just hang up and call back if I get a CSR that I can't understand or if they tell me no. It is very much luck of the draw with them.
