Do not trust Greenway Jeep in Orlando, FL.

Representative Wei Guo for Greenway Jeep is not to be trusted.

Just for FYI, did not purchase due to his actions.

If you are going to bring up a business, and person you need to back this up with a clear, rational, cogent case.....right now these types of rants make you look irrational and non credible imho...explain the issue please.

Dealer was trying very hard to give me the highest price without any explanation. Highest price I have ever seen, non FCA employee discount, no veteran discount, no First Responder discount, etc.

Just a plain dirty old dealer who just wants your hard earned money.

Here is a question... What would you consider to be an acceptable documentation fee?

There is an Orlando dealership that charges $999.00 as a documentation fee, and they try to justify it with a straight face and say people pay it every day.

It's not the same dealership mentioned above. On top of that, they add a $1995 dealership "Value Pkg", and $595.50 in other "fees". It sure seems crazy that they add $3598 to the vehicle price, not including tax, when a reasonable documentation fee would be fine.

Below is an example. The discount would come from using an FCA Control Number.

HOLY S*%T! Here in SoCal..$85 flat fee. No other add-ons/fees/hidden surprises. RUN, don’t walk, away from that dealer.

I don't think we've ever paid more than about $85 doc fee. Other stuff we have either agreed to or refused (protection, extended warranty, etc) - it's been our choice. We've never had any of them forced on us. Of course they try to explain what an advantage they would be - but then that's their job - SALES. If they don't try, that would bother me, too.
It's that they screw you on your trade-in or they stick with the MSRP and won't budge. But doc fees and such, I never feel that's out of the ordinary.

I know both dealers you have mentioned. Yes those charges are BS and typical buyers will pay them so they put it on every car. Just like any car purchase know what your willing to pay for the vehicle and what is a good deal for you. They will remove every one of these crazy charges. I have literally told them to strip the paint protection, remove the nitrogen from the tires and replace with air, and pull the tint from the windows because I'm not paying for it. The new trick from these guys is adding an additional dealer markup due to high demand. A simple web search showing them there are over 100 jeeps available within 50 miles and 6 exactly like the one you are looking at will change that really quickly. Know what you will pay and stick to your guns. If what you are looking to pay is fair, there is a dealer out there that will happily sell to you. Don't let their BS get you flustered because you lose your ability to think rationally. I know many people who have gone to both these dealerships and got their price (me included) and eliminated all the BS charges. Now after buying don't go back to either for service this includes any free oil changes...that is of course unless you like driving away with no oil in your engine...yep heard this several times and happened to my best friend. As long as you are willing to walk away several times without regret during the buying process and have done your research on pricing your deal is out there....but you may have to wait for it. I walked out 5 times when buying my JK...They ultimately came to me when they were desperate to sell in order to make a quota and I got it for even less than I would have paid them a few weeks earlier if they would have accepted that offer. Got my JT price on first visit.

LOL - some charge for the nitrogen? Wow, I've never paid for that, they just do it. In fact, my Chevy came with a sticker saying "this vehicle is equipped with nitrogen filled tires". No charge anywhere for that. Dealer never mentioned it, and the sticker appeared factory like the OnStar sticker.

The presenter at the Dealer Orientation class told us "selling vehicles is a license to print money". Those doc fees can be avoided by taking the papers to the DMV yourself. The in house paper trail takes 5 minutes, tops. Direct experience in SC.

It's true that they simply type the stuff into the screen - and print. Takes seconds, actually.
On the other hand, me running the papers to the polk county offices would cost me as much if not more than I can make in that 90 minutes it would take.
I can make almost as much as the doc fee in the same time it would take me to get into the county offices, pay the parking fee, and get back home.
So a person has to watch closely - and determine what it's worth to them.

Lol if a dealership tried those "upsales" on me they'd get laughed at as I walked away 2 big middle fingers in the air. They can try that BS on someone else.

Yeah - after seeing some of the posts here and others about dealers, makes my complaints about them seem small.
Here they low-ball you on the trade and stick to MSRP - but they ASK if you want the other stuff - and all you have to do is say no and they stop asking. All they ever ask is about protection and extended warranty.
If we don't like what they have on the lot, we usually walk away. It's that simple. In this case, no one had anything even close to why my wife wanted so it's the very first time she's ordered one as she wanted it. Normally we find something. My JT was similar - no one had anything so we had to order.

My JT was pretty much built by the dealership, and was being driven as a demo by one of the owners. Its the 6th vehicle I've purchased from them and they have always done a good job Making the deal a fair one. Pearman Dodge Alto Texas. They're good folks in there. And good service department also.
