ARE CX HD

Hello all.
I'm about to order the ARE CX HD. I've got a few questions. I'm just wondering if anyone has actually received one yet. I'm looking to find the dimensions of it specifically the added height the cross bars create. 2 if anyone has picture with the OTR finish or a satin/flat black I would like to see them. 3. How do the HD cross bars actually remove from the topper. Thanks in advance.

$2195 and 6-8 weeks. Going in to put the deposit down tonight. I'm going to double check that time frame now.

I was quoted $3100 and about 7 weeks. I was also informed that the outdoorsman side windows are not compatible with the HD frame, fyi. I’ll be asking that question again when it’s time for me to actually order, because I’d really like those.

Well good news. I went in to place the order and I saved $356. Turns out ARE lets you select options they can't build. The Sportsman windows are not available on the HD top.

So what makes it HD? Just more fiberglass? I thought I read there was some type of internal frame that interferes with the windows (I'm not sure about that and don't want to start rumors.) Too bad I like those windows.

There is an internal frame members that run up the side and across the top. Do to those internal braces the Sportsman windows are not available. What sucks is it give you the option to build it that way and then they make the dealer tell you it can't be done.

CX $1864 it will hold 200 lbs
The rack for the CX $485
Headliner $138

CX-HD $2269 will hold 550 lbs
rack for CX-HD $388
headliner $138

Crazy your dealer is so much different. $2194 topper, $300 rails and 9 weeks.

I mentioned it earlier, but you’re right, it does save you a lot of cash lol.

As long as I have the sliding windows, my dogs will be okay. They also offer pet screens to offer a bit more protection to the mesh sliders, for anyone with dogs.

Well my ARE topper finally arrived! Check out the pics and let me know what you think. All in all I'm happy with it, and disappointed in the small details for a item that is this expensive.
