Why is it that when I price out my gladiator on the configurator tool vs. the dealer pricing it out, there is a large price difference? I understand the configurator also takes into consideration the employee pricing but my sales manager was trying everything he could and couldn't match the pricing on the Jeep website. Am I just falling for a lazy sales tactic or is there more involved that I am just overlooking?

I know the price configurator leaves out $1500 destination charge.
When I used the online config the desitintion charge was included in the total. It only shows it in the details at the bottom of the page in the summary. My dealership tried to pull that with me and I had to screenshot it to show the desitination charge was included in online config price.

As other have said, the spreadsheet here matched 100%. The sheet doesn't have any discount pricing, it only shows the FWP(invoice) and MSRP price. The online builder on Jeep.com only shows the MSRP price.

When dealing with the dealer you should be working off the FWP(invoice) price for custom builds. The good dealers will give you 6 to 8 % off the FWP price.

The spreadsheet available on the forums here was dead on what I paid for my truck
ok, so I went through the most recent price sheet (November) and yes, they were spot on for what I was quoted from the dealership.

my question still remains though and now I have additional questions.

1: Why is the price so different on the online configurator?

2: What should I expect to pay when its time for delivery?

The order details have me at MSRP $53,395 and FWP $50,991 (after destination charges)

If I build the exact same thing in the configurator, before incentives, it comes out to $50,815 (after destination charges)

7% off FWP would be 47,421.63. I would consider that a good deal. As for the online tool, its always been "buggy". I noticed a lot of the time it would change other options at the top the further you went down the page, esp when selecting packages. I would double check to make sure the seating options stayed correct. The website is notorious for removing already selected packages when you select a transmission because of price of a package changes. That is just one of the quirks.

If it really bothers you, compare each of the option selected line by line and match it up with the build sheet from here and cross everything out as you go. That way you can narrow down where those extra charges are coming from. If it were me, i wouldn't worry about it as long as the dealer build matches the build you did with the spreadsheet from here.

In the summary at the bottom of the page there is a net price total with a little circle with an exclamation point in it. If you click that circle you will bring up the details of the build and it will show the price of each option that was included.

Maybe the 50,815 is the employee pricing for all price...
