Many moons ago I worked for company that was a rule they emphasised to employees driving company vehicles (don't backup), preferably park where you don't have to back out, and if backing was necessary, then back in and drive out.

I worked for that company for 5 days
. I was called back from a layoff right after I went through the rigors training they provide. I am glad I was able to go through that training as I will be a better driver for the rest of my life.Sponsored

That makes sense, I’m sure a large majority of wrecks are from backing up. Eliminating backing up will eliminate those wrecks. A backup camera will likely make it safer in those “you have to back up” situations.

Always back in if possible. I worked at a place that had that stupid sign in the parking lot that says no backing in and head in parking only.
I backed in every day. The landlord came and bitched and told me only criminals back in because they need to get away fast.
I was like... I work here. Do I look like a criminal to you?
Idiot. I never obeyed his signs. He left me alone after a month of bitching.
