Still no sun here, but it was dry enough to get my new wheels and tires installed, followed by a very quick rinse to get the road salt off. Again, not a photog, so my apologies....pics straight from cell phone...looks like it was trying to lighten things up in a few of them since it was so cloudy. Always amazes me how much even a set of wheels and tires can change the looks.

To anyone following...Just be sure to order black fenders specifically if you want those. I was not aware that the body colored fenders were now standard for 21 when I placed my order. I decided to keep them rather than trying to change the order.

Thought body color was only on Overland like the JL Sahara?? I may be wrong-it happened once!

I'm in process of ordering my Sport S, diesel, Sarge Green as well and trying to get the black fenders, but, I keep getting an issue with trying to order the LED headlights - for some reason it unchecks the black fenders. Any thoughts on this as I really prefer them unpainted / black - thanks!

Sorry, no. You'd have to ask a dealer if it is possibel to oreder that way or just a glitch on the website. I really prefer the black as well, but by the time I realized the painted fenders were now standard on the sport S my order was in for two weeks. I would have been looking at losing $1,000 just to make the change. Therefore, I stuck with them and decided I would just plasti-dip them or have them wrapped in matte black vinyl if it turned out I hated them. To be honest I am now 50/50 on them as I sit here and look at them in person....so I am just going to leave them as is for awhile.

I love what you did here. Are the rims the exact same size as the stock ones?? Same size AT tires?

JC is telling me that mine is in I status (unit built, pending final inspection). It's been like this for 5 days. anyone know how long it is at this phase? It's a JTRD

If you're getting your tub / truck bed lined, you can always get them to line the fenders as well. Just an option. I requested to have no carpet installed, but will see if it was actually done or not.

I love what you did here. Are the rims the exact same size as the stock ones?? Same size AT tires?

Wheels are both 17" and I believe the same width (but don't have the specs right in front of me). Original stock tires were 245/75/17 Bridgestone ATs that came standard on the max tow. New AT tires are 285/70/17 BFG All terrains. The new wheels (with tpms still in them) and tires are JL Rubicon takeoffs with maybe 500 miles on them that I scored on Craigslist. I just love the folks that buy the Rubicons then rip everything off and sell it for half price or even less.

Technically ....you should. Haven't decided yet if I will buy one of the aftermarket units to do this myself or perhaps have the dealer do it if/when i take it in for something else. I'm not worried about it too much to be honest.

Just to follow up, the 2021 Sport S has painted fenders standard. The 2020 Sport S had black fenders standard with the option of buying them painted.

If you want black fenders from the factory in 2021, you can buy a Sport and option up (although that still limits your options). Or you can get a Mojave as it comes with black fenders standard in 2021 (according to Jeep.com).

OR get the Gladiator that you want (regardless of trim/fenders) and then buy used black fenders or go aftermarket.

I would suggest running the options thru a dealer as they have better control of building exactly what you want! They can email it and you print it out.

My Dealer is putting my New wheels/tires on and calibrating it for me. The 17 " rims replace 18's and tires are 315/70/17 with a 2" Mopar Lift.
