I don’t have the hood you’re looking for, but I have to ask, why the swap?
Two main reasons: 1. I do not like fake vents. 2. Weight savings - the Mojave hood is steel instead of aluminum. I realize the Mojave hood looks better to most, but I just kinda prefer the classic hood.

I'm in northern illinois, Sarge green sport s...one week old....would definitely be interested
My friend just ordered a Sarge Green Wrangler and is eager to swap hoods. So I just have to wait for his to be delivered. But thank you for the reply - and enjoy the heck out of your Glady!

I feel the same way about my Rubicon hood "prefer the classic hood", though I have no intentions of swapping with anybody. A lot of Jeepers think I'm a screwball for taking off my RUBICON decals off, in reality I was a screwball before I took decals off.

Will the wrangler hood fit?
Can't see why it won't fit. Should be the same as a Gladiator hood. Just need to swap the hood and associated cowls. I'll report back to this forum on the results (though it might be a few weeks - my friend just ordered).

I removed my 'Mojave" hood decals on the same day that I got my Jeep!

I will weigh the hoods when I do the swap and report back on the difference. I am no engineer, so I do not know if/why/whether functioning vents would be an asset to the Jeep or not.

There is plenty of engine bay air output ventilation under the engine/bottom of the Jeep like all other vehicles, the JT input ventilation is limited by the grille openings and size, the Mojave or Rubicon vents if opened up would have negligible additional aid in engine cooling. Wouldn't you think Jeep would of opened up the hood vents for the Diesel for any extra cooling that it lacking if it would have helped.

Edit:

Therefor the Rubicon and Mojave hoods are all show and no go.

I thought the front fenders were different also. There is definitely less distance between the top of fender and hood on the Mojave. Maybe the fender flares are just different.
Fenders are definitely different, but that shouldn't affect the hoods. The Sport/Overland models can easily accept Rubi/Mojave fenders.

Fenders are different but hood and cowls interchange. We have a Wrangler and Mojave so took a couple pix......Jack
PS I much prefer the steel hood ,acorns and hickory nuts bounce off, wifes’s wrangler has dents, it’s a lot heavier though, needed special struts instead of standard Redtuning hood struts. As for functional, I agree but I was opening the vent to allow more airflow across top of engine bay and down by both footwell aeas, but have decided to wait on what Benny digs up on the 392 Wrangler hood (Mojave hood)with cold air intake, to decide.

Thank you for the comparison photos! Steel hood surely will shed acorns better, but how heavy must an acorn be to dent aluminum? Do Wrangler owners experience a lot of hood damage from falling objects? That seems odd to me.

My wife's jeep has maybe three dents in it, my F-250 Ford company truck has about 15 or so, all from nuts, a big black walnut hit my F-250 hood and left a big enough dent that I turned in an accident report to ownership. Not a huge deal, but the Mojave has been hit and no dents, they both stay in a garage at home so not a huge problem.......jack
