I took off the piece between the hood and the driver's side door today that has 4 screws to install an NMO antenna mount. When I took the cover off I found this wire connector. Just trying to figure out what this is. I have a 2021 Willys. The only thing that I could think of is if this goes to the auxiliary switches, but I do not have them.

This is my first post and I am new to Jeeps and this forum so forgive me if this is a redundant post, and that I am not using the proper terminology for this piece.

I bet it's for a light pod...? There are only two cables so it can't be something too complicated.

Please post a picture of the completed NMO mount. Is the piece your mounting it to metal or plastic?

It is for use with Adaptive Cruise Control, if you had it.
I do not have adaptive cruise control. I was hoping I could use it for a light pod. I guess not

This is the Cool Tech LLC mount that has been mentioned on this forum many times. It comes silver, but I sprayed it with black spray paint so it matched better. I used the NMO mount that cool tech recommended by Midland and a Tram Browning Wide band antenna. I ran the wire thru the blank firewall plug on the drivers side foot well, to the back seat storage area where I will be installing a Uniden 536HP scanner with a remote Android head running Siren on my dash using a Pro Clip. Let me know if you have installation specific questions about this install.

I will probably have to go with one of those on each side. I was hoping someone might have mounted an NMO on the flat piece just above it.

I plan on moving it to the passengers side. Antenna is in my constant field of view driving and I don’t like it. There is the option of mounting it to the screw nearest to the door on the same panel. However, the wire is constantly moving when the door open and closes. Unless I find a better way using that closer screw, it is going to the passengers side.
