Dealership in alabama wants to put a whole new transmission in with only 1200 miles on it. What kind of luck is this?

Damn man. I hope everyone is ok and youre making it through alright
Thanks man. We all made it out so that is most important. Was just surprised to get the news I needed a whole new transmission. I thought it would be a minor fix.

This. New over "fixed" all day. Probably cheaper for them to swap than to tear into it and fix it

Bummer luck. Let that dealer turn it right around. Id rather have a new transmission over a fixed one any day.

It happens. My old Renegade needed the tranny replaced at 800 miles. Swapped it out no problems.

Looks like mine is getting a new transmission as well.. (~18k miles) Have had odd shifting problems for about a month now....would take 2-3 tries some times to get it from park to reverse....would slip when trying to shift from 3rd to 4th often. Took in before and they replaced the transmission valve body but the problems persisted. Finally took it in last Thurs and got Jeep Cares involved...they said it was showing multiple codes so they are going to replace the transmission. Problem is according to dealer, it is on backorder. I hope Jeep Cares can do something to expedite. Really sucks....they gave me some POS Chevy rental to drive.

Once it is done I am going to look into getting rid of it. I have never kept cars that have series transmission issues so early....just leaves me unsettled. Sad day.

Mine has been at dealer since March 5th waiting new transmission. Told me today it got pushed back to April 12th. Greenway won’t even give me nothing to drive. 1100 miles on my Mojave.

19k miles on mine and have to have a new transmission. Was told they are back ordered and there is no ETA. Mine locked up and wouldn't get out of park. took about 30 minutes to finally get it out of park to roll onto a tow truck but then locked up at dealership and they couldn't get it out of park.

How can you trust your jeep to go off road after this. If I was off main roads with little or no traffic you could be stranded a long time.

SO April 12 will probably just keep getting pushed back? A month sitting at a dealer is way way too long much less for months. Jeep needs to make this right in some way.

Have you fellas looked into your state's lemon law. Generally, if a vehicle is out of service for 30 days, you have options.

I have started looking into lemon law options.

While they seemed to be attentive at first....Jeep Cares/Customer Care has gone silent on me....not responding to emails, etc. No phone calls from them....I call them daily but just get told the standard "...we are working on it" replies.

I really need someone higher up to call and complain too because this is now getting beyond unacceptable. ...but doubt I will find anyone. Perhaps a lawyer getting involved will light a fuse.

Let me know if you find something to get the job done. I want my ride back and fixed.
