I was driving down to the local drug store the other evening to get some decongestant (blasted pollen season!). Waiting at a traffic light behind another car, and the left lane was open. We were still stopped, but the left turn light had turned green. Pickup going in the opposite direction began to turn in front of us when another pickup in the left lane ran the red light and got hit by the turning truck. The one that ran the red light did two full spins and ended up in the median. Other truck rolled out of the intersection and came to a stop.

Immediately, everyone waiting at the light pulled off the road, jumped out, and went to check on the drivers of both vehicles. Everyone walked away from the accident, but both vehicles appeared to be totaled.

It was good to see that 100% of the people at the light were willing to help and not just drive away. Helps restore faith in people, especially in these anti-social days!

Any other good stories to share? It's easy these days seeing the bad in people for whatever reasons - I want to hear some of the good!

Mom had a blowout on I35 north of OKC. A man and his wife from Kansas stopped to assist. Realized the spare needed air so the man took the spare down the road to get air while his wife stayed with my Mom. Another fellow stopped, realized what was going on and jacked the car up, took tire off; so when the guy with the tire got back, they slipped it right on. In the meantime a highway patrolman showed-up looked at everyone and told them there was nothing left for him to do, but get them safely back onto the highway...BTW...my Mom is 89. MANY THANKS, FOLKS!
