I had an ARB Deluxe set of bumpers on my 2013 Wrangler and decided to go with something much lighter on my Gladiator, so I chose the Barricade Aluminum front bumper. I received it Thursday and began the install Friday. I knew this was going to be an ordeal when I started having trouble installing the factory led fog lights! The mounting design was absolutely terrible. The area was extremely tight to try to put nuts on the screws and the lights were lined up off center with one side longer than the other, so the light would shine inward. Like I said, absolutely terrible design. It took over 1 1/2 hours trying to mount it and that was just for one light. To get the light to center, I would have to grind one side of the outside mount and put shims in the other side. The other side, the outside mount was longer than the other! I called Extreme Terrain, the sales point for the bumper, and the lady was extremly helpful. I told her I might be able to fix the mount and she said that she could give a discount, or she could arrange for the bumper to be picked up and returned to them. I told her I would let her know what I decided Saturday. Saturday I removed my bumper and placed the Barricade bumper on the front of my Jeep. I immediately knew what I was going to do with the bumper. It was going back! To attach the bumper to the frame, I would have to cut out the front of my grill! The bumper was touching the grill and still needed to go back about three inches to bolt onto the frame. How do you say Chinese Excrement? I notified the lady at Extreme Terrain and she sent the RMA to return the bumper. I am now looking at a bumper made in the USA. I am probably going with the Rock-Slide Engineering Rigid Full Front Bumper.
The top right of the picture shows the bumper touching the grill and you can see the bumper mount wasn't close to touching.
