Doubt it - for decades frames have been left open to the air. I've seen guys try to plug up frame holes and end up rotting things.

I’m thinking that’s where they lift the chassis from. Because there are marks something has been in there.
Agreed, if it’s not sealed 110% the damage can be really bad.

From the looks of it it might be where the frame sat on a carrier that went down the assembly line. Auto plant I work in works like that.

From the looks of it it might be where the frame sat on a carrier that went down the assembly line. Auto plant I work in works like that.
- they have to have location points that hold it solid and in a specific known position so all other things index to that.
I'd personally let it be. If it was scratched up to bare metal I might spray a good epoxy paint on it but I'd not plug it.

All vehicles are submerged into rust inhibitors ect anyway so should be no reason to plug like you said
