Scoring on front axle

This is my first Gladiator and I just got it home yesterday. Crawled underneath to check out the skid plates and noticed the front axle is scored a complete circle on both sides and a lot of rust for a vehicle with 103 miles on it. Anyone else’s axles scores like this?”

That doesn't look good.
If it wasn't raining outside right now I'd be under my front end inspecting my axles.

Just under mine and this is my rear dif cover. Just doesn’t look right.

I'll definitely be taking a look tomorrow after I get home from work. I wonder if those could just be tooling marks made during manufacturing?
I'll let you know what I find.

Taking a closer look, the marks you see are on the axle tubes, not the axles themselves. Possibly from the manufacturing process and not painted very well. Shouldn't cause any mechanical problem.

‘That’s what I was thinking to just really surprised to see that way on brand new vehicle. Never seen a differential cover look like that either. Thanks for looking

I would rattle can paint it with some flat black rust converter and/or paint and then fluid film it.
