I try to get patches from the notable locations.
The Jeep is up to 35 states, plus D.C., and Canada. We've had it as far southwest as Capitol Reef National Park, Northwest to Bozeman Montana, Northeast to Acadia National Park, and down to Key West at the Southernmost point of the continental U.S.
Would have knocked out Arizona and New Mexico on our last trip, but Four Corners Monument in Navajo nation was closed.

We wanted to, but didn't make it. We were in Toronto New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. There was a party New Year's Eve that we didn't have tickets for, and I think they were closed New Year's Day.

I-10 across Texas (E-W) 880 miles
I-5 across California (N-S) 798 miles
I-90/94 across Montana (E-W) ~700 miles
So do these count as more than one, too?

Well, they are all more than double Iowa (at least as the crow flies - I didn't figure I80 across)
Technically TX is only about 770 across so I 10 must jog around a bit.
I guess Alaska has 'em all beat at over 2,000 miles across. But I'm not going to drive across Alaska to find out.
