I read many threads calling into question if 37’s can fit underneath. Some said only if aired down. Some said you have to angle them. My MT Baja Boss AT’s fit flat at full pressure (37 psi). Just had to remove the heat shield.

Is that a Clayton track bar? The tire fits between the frame?
It is encouraging that will fit even if you have to get a new track bar and remove the heat shield. Couple people said they were notching the frame or something, I wouldn’t do that to fit a tire

I have the same tire under the bed with a Clayton track bar and ground a bit of fat off the hitch. And it’s not fitting between the frame rails.

Yes! It’s the new Clayton track that’s been bent to run bigger spare tires.

How long ago did you get your Clayton kit? They started using a bent arm for spare tire clearance back in Jan. 2021

Not sure removing the heat shield while installing a tire that sits even closer to the exhaust is a good idea. Any concerns?

Yes, I do have a little bit of concern that the tire could be exposed to too much heat. However, it was a calculated risk until I get a bed rack to mount the spare in. I’m contemplating leaving the spare at home unless I’m off-road. I’m open to hearing any real-world opinions on this topic.
