Under seat subwoofer enclosure

Well I’m going to give it a go myself with MDF. 10 inch down firing sub, figured that would give me the most room since the box could touch the bottom of the seat.
This is what I found for a sub and an amp, crossing my fingers that it will sound better than any of the all in one sub/amp boxes.

If anyone wants a sub and amp combo that fits u der seat with factory tray in place look at JL audio. 10w3v3 and 8w3v3 should both fit. (Difinitely the 8). The jl powered subs are on a different level than the bs kicker hide away ones.

I hope that I can get it finished up this weekend. I am taking my time getting it just right. I threw the board with the sub mounted in it under the seat and it sounds pretty good even with no box so I can't imagine what it will sound like in the box LOL

seeing these are making me want to think about building a small box. I have a fairly shallow old 10" polk subwoofer I used to use way back in the day that would probably work fine for no more than I would like.

Not “Done” but its pretty close now, all the damn angles were a pain to get it all lined up. I glued and screwed it together, probably used way too many screws and I also calked the seams from the inside. I’m going to clean up the edges and then I’m thinking I’m going to hit it with bedliner. It sounds so good, much better than I was expecting!

Not the cheapest option out there by far but I couldn't be happier with the JL Box they made specifically for the Gladiator. Comes with the box and (2) 10" woofers. Perfectly tuned at 600 watts 2 Ohm. You will not be disappointed (with the sound, not the price).

That's awesome! I built my own sub box that has my 10" SSA DCON sub installed in it. It is off to one side and still has storage space on the drivers side. It sounds good and it hits hard. I built mine from wood and still have to correct space for the sub, but later down the road, I plan on building a fiberglass box such as yourself. I like the DIYer and you did a great job! Thumbs up!!!

i went with the Fox acoustic box ported for a single ten. with the Skar Audio VD10 and their 5 channel amp. all the bass i need and more than i expected you will not be disappointed, i have used Fox boxes in my ram and wrangler also. they make a nice box.

Love it, all the bass I could ask for! Still haven’t done anything with paint or carpet yet. My best guess is .5 cuft but it could be a little less. I added extra angles to it to try and get some more air space.
