Will 17x8.5 rim and 5.22 offset lead to more steering wander than stock rims with the 284 70 R17 tires?

Just replaced stock rubicon rims with quadratec 1941s. Look awesome. My question is would the 17x8.5 rim and 5.22 offset lead to more wander than stock rims with the 284 70 R17 tires? I have also aired down to 33. They of course inflated to 38 for tms sensors with install

It should wander less from my experience. A wider stance should give you more stability and a little better cornering, or at least that's how mine feels and my JKU felt with a wider stance.

OP- In theory, the scrub radius from the new wheels could create more road force into the steering components, and cause some adverse reactions. In reality, you haven't changed it that much, and you should be fine. I've been running the same spec wheel as you for over 20k miles, and it drives just fine.
