1400 miles 21 Sport S Freedom CEL

Jumped in the jeep headed back from the airport and my CEL was on. Everything is running great, I haven’t seen any other lights, start stop is working. Took it in at 7:30 am yesterday and they called at 4:30 stating they’ll need to keep it through the weekend because they are waiting for Chrysler to confirm they were diagnosing the issue correctly. She didn’t know the specific code, but stated it was related to the oil pump and cooler….said the pump is working and the oil temp is fine, so they think it might need a custom engine flash file from Jeep. Anyone experience any crap like this?
Sucks because I traded in my perfectly fine 2020 Gladiator for this 2021 Galdiator for the steel bumpers, and max tow package. I mean, I made out in the deal, but now I’m dealing with the unknown.

Not really "crap", it's just a thing. Let them wort it out. Sounds like they are fixing it.

Read around - there's several threads on engine issues that have been tough to diagnose. Do some searching, some research here. You'll have similar experiences with ANY vehicle. How about the ONE MILLION Mercedes recalled because the sun roof flew off the roof and onto the highway? How about Bronco's birthing pains?
It's a vehicle - and sometimes things happen.

I’ve gone a few pages in and haven’t found anyone with similar engine cooler/pressure code yet. Just more pissed it happened after having a perfectly fine 2020.

The Freedom edition has a steel bumper, and can come with Max tow.

Also, the Freedom edition is being built with Max tow, steel front and rear bumpers, 4.10’s, and a partial leather and cloth interior and the largest screen option. It’s a sport s platform.

OK, a special edition built on the Sport so has max tow capabilities. With the steel bumpers, wonder where else they trimmed the weight to keep in the needed specs. Thanks for the pointer.
