People Work?
I couldn't resist. The Discount Code worked with the 24% Coupon Amazon showed for the item. I paid $12.28 total, with tax and free shipping, will be here Friday.
I got one last time they ran that deal.
Have not had occasion to use it yet,

If I was a betting man, I would say probably a misfire code drove both lights. That is what I would get on my 2020 Gladiator when they popped up.

Seriously though, like others mentioned, invest in cheap OBDII code reader.

The code is P1404.
"EGR close position performance" was the readout.
Is it an easy fix???
Someone on the Wrangler side reported the same code. Cleaning the EGR fixed their problem. The pintle can get stuck from carbon gunking it up.

If you are under the powertrain warranty, I would let the dealership mess with it.

If on your dime, I would suggest making sure the wiring is good first and put a new EGR valve in rather than mess with the cleaning part.

so say if there would be a misfire would that not be noticeable of how the engine is running?
No. Mine flashed the MIL and dinged and I never felt rough running. In fact it did that 3 or 4 times over the course of 5 months. Sometimes it was extremely rough, other times I never knew it was a misfire until I read the code.

The stock batteries are junk. Mine both failed in under 2 years leaving me stranded 17 miles into the backcountry.
i can't argue that the stock batteries aren't extremely questionable (depending on my mood, maybe junk) but they can go from 1 month to over 3 years, depending.

Anyone buying these needs to know that there are fakes out there being sold on Amazon and eBay.
The worst thing is that Amazon takes products that are identical and dumps them into a bin and then when you order, they pull from that bin regardless of the seller. So there's been a problem of real and counterfeit items being sold by legit vendors.
Watch carefully.

EGR issues can cause misfires, especially if stuck open. And in that case, can disable the ESS.

That's why I say ESS issues can be any one of dozens of possible problems.
It's not always, in fact, it's not usually batteries.

When the system isn't healthy, the thing is programmed to not take any chances and stop the engine with poor health. Misfires, EGR, injector issues, cat temps, even starter temperature, along with many other things, can cause it to not operate.

As I said above the code is P 1404. "EGR closed position performance" said the code reader.

How to go about it ? Dealer? Easy fix ? Expensive?

I saw your mileage. It might be covered under an emissions warranty. I have no clue how long the emissions warranty runs on the Gladiator. I just know it's most likely longer than the bumper to bumper warranty.

I don't know, battery replacement after two years, seems kinda ridiculous.
The CEL is what concerns me more, I was wondering If anybody knows for sure whether they are related.
Agreed it is ridiculous but I just had to do the same thing. After 2 years. Changing the main battery didn't clear it but replacing the auxiliary battery did.
