I get it. But per the context of the posts, he’s only mentioned tire pressure warnings. Some people use CEL as a general term. He’s got a brand new gladiator and just wants to know nothing is wrong with it.
Actually he used it twice. In his second post, he said the CEL cleared.

I'm not sure why you are going after me for asking a clarifying question...

They were seeing it as two messages. One for the warning light on the left, and one for the low pressure in the center. They’re learning their new Jeep.

Fair enough...

HOWEVER...if nothing else, CEL does mean something different. Since I was only trying to be helpful and understand if he ALSO had the CEL light on, we can at least say that we've all learned that the CEL (Check Engine Light) indicates potential other issues. If the OP didn't ALSO have the CEL light on, then there isn't a potential other issue going on that none of us are helping with because we have ASSUMED that the OP meant something different...

Also fair. My apologies if I misread your intention. I thought you were nitpicking the OP for his wording. Yes, cel is different from a tpms warning. Maybe not enough coffee for me yet. :)

I get wanting to clarify, but ...

... note that the OP never simply called the light a CEL, they called it a "(!) CEL" in both posts. In the initial post, they have a picture of the dash, clearly showing the TPMS warning light and no actual CEL.

Note that the TPMS warning light looks a lot like (!). The only better way of putting it into type would maybe be (!) or (_!_) .

So, in the context of the posts & discussion, IMO it was pretty clear that "(!) CEL" = TPMS Warning Light.

Thanks for clarifying again an hour after the fact and once again “interpreting what someone else meant.” Excuse me for trying not to assume. If only I were smartier.

If thanks are being express, thanks for coming in 23.5 hours after the initial post to question if the OP had a CEL on. That picture of the dash with no CEL was really difficult to interpret.

Thanks to all of you who replied. On the way home from work today (this started on the way to work) the sensors fluctuated between 35 and 36 PSI. Once they reached 36 PSI, the red outlines on the TPMS screen cleared and the (!) CEL cleared as well.

Anyway, Im going to inflate all the tires to 38 PSI cold and hope it holds. We shall see I guess…
What I do when I set my tire pressure is I set them at 37psi for what the average temp for the month is gonna be. So right now the temp is around 40 or so and the lows are gonna be 5-10 so I set mine to be 37 at around 20 or 25. That works for me and never any light.

Umm, yeah I used CEL inappropriately by using it interchageably with the warning (!) light and corresponding icon. My apologies.

Anyway, I also own a 2019 JLUR since new and in about 40K miles I’ve had it as low as 32PSI without tripping the TPMS warning screen as depicted in my original post. As a result, I’m curious why I would get the warning on my JTM at 35 PSI.

Also, to be clear, the TPMS readings never reached 37 psi on my drive home yesterday. Despite this, near the end of my drive home (I had the TPMS screen active in my center display as depicted in my original post during the entire drive home) the red outlines around the tires cleared one by one with the PSI still reading 35 on some tires and 36 on the others. Also, the instant the last tire to display the red outline was cleared, the (!) warning light cleared as well.

Also, no warning light or TPMS red outlines were displayed today. PSI flucuated between 35-36 PSI on all 4 wheels.

So what should the tires be inflated to on the stock 33 inch Falkens on the Mojave? Been debating on if I need to deflate them a bit from the MFG 40psi

There is a tire inflation sticker located in the driver's door jamb. My 2021 Mojave specifies 37psi IIRC.

The Owner's Manual covers this:

Jeep Gladiator TPMS warning and (!) CEL @ 35psi - Bone Stock ‘23 JT Mojave w/2,500 miles 1705085449733

37psi. Good ride and no wonder at highway speeds on my JTR. Look into setting a lower threshold or just keep the pressure up.
