So was trying to be nice to my wife and got her a single MORE hide a step.

Trying to install it today but it doesn't appear to slide in all the way.

Anyone had issues with it? Doesn't seem that it will go all the way in.
Install instructions show a narrower rock rail bracket... Not sure if I got the wrong model or just a different rail.

I didn’t have any problem with mine going in…I will dig through some pics and post here if that helps. I remember the driver and passenger were easier to install but the rear steps took some work. I can’t remember exactly how I did it but the rock rail was balanced in position and I used zip ties to hold the MORE step in a right angle to bolt them in. Once they were secured I cut the zip ties ( put a board on the frame with quick grips to ease mechanism when released and prevent it from scratching anything) but be careful because they will spring back fast…make sure your hands are clear.

Not for sure without looking but will add a side pic if that helps for install location. I am on the road for work or would go and take more pics for you. I do remember folding that bracket helped the install tremendously.

I think I remember now sorry…the second hole worked. So, as you can see in your pic, you are lining up with the first but still far away from the screws reaching the bracket. If you have some zip ties and secure the bracket into a 90 degree angle, the MORE step will use the further hole and the screw holes will fit into the rear of the bracket. I highlighted on your pic where to secure it.

Ya gonna try the zip tie trick to see if this helps.
I'm wondering if somehow they sent me the wrong item cause order shows JL not JT. Pretty i ordered the JT.

I took the rail completely out so it's not an issues of getting it on, it's the spring that's hitting the bracket.

Try zip ties and see if that works…I believe mine said JL as well but from what I understand are the same mounting locations as the JT for this step. I highlighted your pic to show you the hole location you are going for.

Wife is happy.

Sorry to jump in but just got my TJ and my wife who has one knee replaced and getting ready for a second is having issues getting in the Jeep. It is not lifted (Sport-S Max-Tow) with the factory "step rail" which doesn't have a step like my old F150.
Will these bolt up or do I need to make modifications? Or are there other alternatives?
Thanks for the help.

Should bolt on the factory rubi rail or if you don't have any step bar.
Does come with the hardware for install w/o rail... Didn't need to use it since I already had the Rubi stuff.

That being said it makes it a little easier but looking at the wife getting in still doesn't look like a piece of cake getting in.
I suppose that may just take a little practice.

I installed these for my wife, after she got used to them she really thinks they help her. Just FYI if you are plaining to install the rear steps install the rear first. I don't know why it makes a difference but it appeared to make a difference when I installed mine.
