The lower control arm install is kicking my butt. disassembly was simple. I know they can be a pain but something is off and not sure what. I can’t even get the original lca arm on. Instructions followed to the letter. LCA‘s were installed before springs and shocks. Very frustrated

Lower control arms should be installed one at a time with the weight of the Jeep on the ground. You can try to tilt the pinion back a tiny bit by placing the jack on the backside of the pinion.

Try a rachet strap. Wrap it around both axles and tighten.

Oh man, I remember the pain you're going through. Did the Mopar install a couple months ago in my garage. Having the ratchet straps from the bottom of the axle to points on the frames help rotate the axle so I could line up the lower control arms. That and having the springs and shocks removed. (Made the mistake of installing them first and then trying to line up, wasn't going to happen) It's an orchestra of raising/lowering axle, ratcheting the bottom of the axle and pulling the lower control arms to line up. In the end it came down to plain old fashioned magic.

I’m apparently fresh out of magic today

Try using a jack under the axle housing where the pinion hole would be. Pushing that up rotates the axle forward and pushes the arm towards the rear. And keep the ratchet strap tight.

With weight on the tires, whichever in park, trying to roll the tire backwards/forwards can rotate things to help line up the bolt. An extra set of hands helps.
A smaller bolt inserted in one side to help “pry”/line things up can help/work, too.

I went outside one more time and both lca’s went on with zero issues. The only difference was it’s night here now.
Thanks for the helpful suggestions!
