I have the Gen 1 RLD. Other than the fit, I have to say it is far and away the best shell I have ever had (4th one so far). What I really like is how I can adapt it and add all kinds of attachments with simple struts. I have a shovel and lights mounted inside and my boat racks on top. I do wish it fit a bit better but now that I live in the South, dust is far less of an issue versus Ut and CO.

Those are the biggest awnings I've seen yet. Big covered area having one on each side. Brilliant idea carrying the third spare......
Those are in fact, Sharks. I doubt there are any others out there with 3 great whites on top.

If you're looking for one in a hurry don't get an ARE. They are pretty far out on delivery dates. I ordered in April and was told 3 months but now they are saying August - I assume that means September. Someone ordered in February and just got theirs on another post.
Can confirm, 141 days from when I placed my order to installation yesterday! Haven't had it long enough to have any opinions on the cap itself, but it'll definitely be a wait if you go with ARE.
Just got the call that my ARE CX Classic has arrived and is ready for install tomorrow. That's 19 weeks from order date (132 days).

The canopy is finally back at sea after enjoying a 2 + month vacation in Shanghai. Should be here mid Oct, so will have some time with it during this bird season. Looking forward to getting it.

now I just hope the repairs to my rig can be completed prior to the canopy’s availability for instal. ( for those who didn’t see it on another thread, I got rear ended on Labor Day weekend:mad:)
Looks like my canopy is delayed to early Sep. Am disappointed, but looking forward to getting it. Tom from adventure Ready has been very responsive to my querie.

Will post a pic once it’s installed.

Ship is finally in port, now waiting for it to be offloaded and the canopy be delivered - hopefully won’t be long, the shop is only a few miles from the port ( both in Seattle).

Am eagerly awaiting the call……

$3,300. This is the A.R.E CX Evolve. I have two windoor sliders on each side. I also bought mine for my two GSD's to be in the bed of the truck. On highways, having two open windows in the camper makes that sound we all hate when one window is open and it bothers our ears, but with one window open in the camper shell it doesn't make that sound and my pups are happy. I have the 12v installed in the bed too and bought this swamp cooler off Etsy that I throw a 15 lbs of ice into before a long trip to give my dogs AC in the bed. Right now im working on putting copper pipe insulation in between the cap and truck so that I can keep the back windows open and have some more truck AC reach the dogs. Also, I have had a couple of beers tonight and im not spell checking any of this so if its bad grammar, its bad grammar haha

So you ordered it July 23 and we’re told 30 days.
Over 90 now, how’s that feeling?
Probably better than the ARE orders that are close to 6 months.?

Certainly not real happy about it, but supply chain woes being what they are, am just glad the end is in sight.

I wanted it in time for bird hunting season, and now that we are close to it being 1/2 over, am disappointed of course.

Yes but it’s not over. So you will still get to enjoy the hunt.
Need to stay positive.
Btw, a bit off topic, but what breed is your dog? (Tanner?)

Certainly hasn’t stopped me yet, been to Eastern Oregon and Easter Wa thus far. Just more convenient for me and the pup with a canopy

My pup is a rescue Brittany, who has improved greatly since last year. Here is a pic of us- note the covered dog crate.

He’s a Brittany, not a springer ( who I agree are great dogs). Britts are are one of the pointing dogs. This one is my third rescue brit.
