I picked up my Mopar tonneau cover from the local dealership yesterday and installed it last night. I love it!

The only issue I have with the three piece is that it rests on the back window when fully opened. There is no system or shock to prevented from scratching or slamming into the window over bumps. As far as leaking, its a truck, its not water proof. If you want no leaks you need an SUV.

not water proof? :CWL: then someone explain to jeep that there is no reason for the drain tubes... :movember: it literally has seals on all the edges, but yet the screws in the middle will leak and rust. GTFO that's just sub par design.

Resurrecting this thread. I've been reading reviews on this cover. Not here to discuss leaks - they all leak some, my question is about the top of the tailgate freezing to the back edge of the cover in cold weather climates like here in Nebraska. During a freezing rain event or a snow/melt during the day situation.
I read one review stating that the "new" generation cover may not have this problem, mine is a 2021.
Anyone experience the freeze situation? Thanks

I’m up in NW Montana, If memory serves me correctly, I only had 1 time that it really “froze up” on me had a couple other times had to give a couple taps here and there to free it up.

I have this too on a used 2020 JT and it is sooo leaky. Makes it pointless to put anything in the bed during a rain as it gets soaked. So I’m changing to a roll up tonnuae cover. In regard to your query about it freezing I could see how that might occur but if you have an ice scrapper I could also see how to fix it. Lol.

Someone else who’s had this top longer will have to answer that. I will say that the bandaids I’ve applied have all failed to reduce the leaking. I also don’t like that it blocks the rear window when folded up. Hence going to a roll up.

Anyone aware of aftermarket struts that can be used for this tonneau cover?

Mine started leaking after about 2.5 years, but since it was still covered under the warranty, Jeep replaced it.

Any updates? Interested to know if you experienced this issue with your tonneau cover.

Quadratec has first and second generation installation instructions on their site, both have the same tailgate seal where the first two fins engage with the tailgate.

First generation see section 4.5, and second generation see section 5.5.

https://www.quadratec.com/p/mopar/hard-tri-fold-tonneau-cover-gladiator-jt

Has anyone else had this issue?
