I've got no complaints really. It was already on the truck when I bought it. The previous owner had also installed a full set of molle bed panels from Rough Country. I didn't go looking for either of these things, but now that I have a truck with them, I wouldn't remove them. I can't deny they have proven to be useful.

I open and close the cover daily to get gear out of the back with no issues that I can see. It's sturdy enough when closed to support chainsaws, fuel jugs, etc....
I haven't been too concerned with anything I have chucked on top. Dragging stuff on it, it will temporarily leave a mark, but a quick wipe down with something like Chemical Guys VRP and it's back to looking new.

The support arms have been great for accessing the full bed length, and it can be folded partially back and secured flat as well. The drain tubes do their job. The seals all seem to be fine so far as I don't really have any water intrusion. Oh, and another thing I am a big fan of is that you can squeeze the releases and open it up fully from either side.

I was just near the truck so I grabbed some quick pictures in the rain. Here ya go.
Looks nice and dry in the bed too. Thanks again

Did you remove the RC badging that they show on the driver's side? If so, did it leave any residue?
Thanks
No, I kept the badging in place.

I measured 17 inches in the middle from floor of bed to bottom of cover but there are blocks and latch mechanisms that will interfere so the usable height is about 16.25 to 16.5.
A coworker has roll up style on his Taco ( diehard Toyota fan) was not happy to see how little water made it into my bed. The Taco tailgate, bed side and cover is very open to water intrusion.

Looks great. I noticed earlier that even when folded up and not supported it still has a rubber piece to protect the hardtop. Made me think of this thread.

How did the install go? I've got one ordered too.
Instructions seem pretty straightforward. Any tips or tricks to get it installed properly?

The included instructions are pure garbage. Watched a YouTube vid of the install and was straightforward after that.

Thanks. I've been watching videos too. Did you line up the foam weather stripping closer to the cab, closer to the edge of the bed or right down the middle? It's not clear on the videos. Looks like most go right down the middle.

Got mine installed today too. I couldn't get the knob on the front driver's side clamp because of the hump in the bed right there for the fuel line. I was trying to get those front ones as close to the cab as possible. Noticed you have that clamp slid back to clear for the knob. I'll move mine back tomorrow.

After driving through some rain yesterday, I noticed a little leak in the corners where the cover meets the tailgate and a little in the front corners and a small leak about half way down on the driver's side. I followed a video that showed tightening the clamps with the allen head bolts in place first, then tightening the knobs which is the method I used. I checked everything when I got home an retightened the clamps but that brought up a question I had.
Is there a proper method to tighten the clamps along the bed that you have used to eliminate the leaks? They have the long allen head bolts that hold the cover to the bed sides and then the knob at the bottom of the clamps that I assume help to keep the cover 's rails down.

Thanks

Before I got my toopper - I had the older gen 1 RC tri fold tonneau (the one with only 3 panels and it did not flip up to cab) and I had no issues with it at all. It kept bed dry (outside of a few spots near the tail gate corners) and looked good.

I tried re-enforcing the corners with some black weatherstripping but it always leaked a bit at those corners.

I purchased one for my 2024 Frontier earlier this year. The bolt holes in the top did not align to the holes in the rails. I had to widen the rail holes to make the top fit properly. Despite everything being carefully aligned, I had trouble with the latches/rails. The latches were much larger than others I've seen (i.e., BAKFlip MX4). They did not want to retract when closing and rested on the rail. I called Rough Country twice about the issue. Both times they said that it was my alignment. I've installed several hard tonneau covers over the last 20 years - never had a problem like I had with the RC Tri Fold.

I have not purchased one yet for the Gladiator. When I do, it probably won't be from Rough Country. That said, I am very happy with my RC contoured drop steps.

I didn't have any issues with the install. For me, everything lined up as it should. Just had read that some have no leaks.
