With my 2022 JTR built and waiting for a train to New England, I went out and cleaned out the cab of my old Tacoma today.

I had forgotten I even had about half that junk in there. Luckily, I was able to slim down the pile a little bit, but I still think it will be tough to figure out where some of it rides in the new truck.

Is that a PAPER map book? You need to watch the, “...how not to be your parents” commercials!

I carry a HD tow strap, a 3 D cell Maglight and jumper cables. I have a cell phone, the truck has Nav and I have a AAA card, all should be good. Oh and a ball cap, sunglasses & a hoodie.

Hey, my old Taco is going to PA. I'm basically trading it to my father in law to use as a farm truck in exchange for a season's worth of firewood. The Toyota was my dad's before he died, so I'm glad it will still be in the family.

Yeah, the paper map book is a habit I just can't shake. Probably haven't opened the damn thing in 10 years, but I just feel better having it. I used to be a mover in Boston, so I got used to driving around with the map book propped up on the wheel of the freightliner.

Some of this stuff has been in the cab since my dad owned the truck 5 years ago. That's his snow shovel and his Walmart special tow rope that I wouldn't trust for a second.

I still prefer paper GPS. So much easier to see the big picture with a Road Atlas. If the display is the size of a nautical chart table, that might change.
AGREE.. just did a 14 days in the National Parks Co, Wy, Utah and bought a new Road Atlas National Parks incl for the trip; did hook the cell phone nav to the Uconnect too.:like:
