Howdy folks, I originally installed a set of 2" AEV spacers which have been great. Now that my bumper, winch, rack and RTT are on things have settled and I'd I've got more rake than I'd like and would love your thoughts on a sensible solution. I've bookmarked a handful of diesel dedicated options spanning ICON, RK and AEV. I'm unaware of anyone else offering diesel specific springs and options become greatly limited given my goal to stay below 3" of lift.

I'm running the falcon 3.1 system (great shocks, love em') so I was thinking about going with AEV's 2.5" DualSport kit. All 4 can be had for under $500 shipped and I've been quite happy with AEV's gear over the years but wanted to get your thoughts. I've got extended end links both front and rear installed from the spacer kit (AEV spacer kit comes with them) in addition to an adjustable track bar. Everything is dialed in and the truck currently rides great but again, the rake is a bit much for me by about .5". I was half tempted to just swap the 2" rear spacer for a 1.5" but I have to imagine these OEM springs are pretty worked/compressed when static given my additional weight and the general belief that the diesel is under-sprung anyhow.

Goals are:
1. Reduce the rake imposed after adding my bumper and winch.
2. Keep the lift minimal so that I don't end up requiring additional hardware for a quality ride.

What do y'all think? Are you aware of any other diesel spring offerings that are in the 2 to 2.5" range? Thanks in advance for any insight!

Wasn’t me but Clayton diesels start at 3.5”. I’ll see if I can find that one, I had searched but most relevant was from early 20. Will certainly post results, thanks for the response!

I would check out hourless life...he's a member that's going around the world. He also has utube channel and patreon. He has a heavy rig; as I recall went with 2" Mopar in front and 3.5 inch Teraflex in rear (he has an alu-cab canopy camper, so is probably heavier than you). He also has a gasser, vice diesel.

And...I just remembered, he has a 17 gal aux tank, 50(?) ltr water tank and two spares...definitely heavier than you.

I just installed 3.5 MC springs along with king bumps. The springs seems to have given me right at 3”. We will see if they sag. I was having the same issues with the factory springs and 2.5 RC spacers. Im also running Rancho adjustable shocks that are terrific with this setup.

Your truck has a nice stance. any concerns about the spring bow and that the bump stops are not centered? Looks like they could come in contact.

Curious as to why you’re not entertaining the thought of using Teraflex springs. You indicated you were a fan of the Falcon shocks and they’re made by TeraFlex. Supposedly, they’re made to complement each other. Regarding the diesel and springs…aside from Mopar and Clayton, I’ve only seen component manufacturers recommend the addition of a spacer or increased height springs for the front end.

No not really. They won’t touch. They are as flexed as they will get. The bowing is coming from the front axle being pulled over from the lift. It doesn’t bother me and won’t hurt anything not having an adjustable track bar.

hopefully they made the springs better. I had the game changer on my gas engine and the rears sag terribly with weight in the back.

I’m not running the rears. I wouldn’t mind them sagging a little in the front. I’m giving them time to do so so I can see if I need a bit more spacer in the rear.
