Long story short- 15-16 mpg is your new home.

This is so sad considering it’s the same mileage I get in my ‘13 JKU, 3.6L (118k miles), auto, 3.5” lift, 37/13.5, beadlock, 5.13’s, and much more added extra weight!

The 4.0 I6 in the yj got 17 all day long with a 2 inch lift and 33s. The Cherokee gets a touch better with the auto and wifey in the pilot seat. The Pentastar is better?

2021 Grand Cherokee - 24-25 mpg with 3.6
My JT when stock did 23 mpg pretty easily.
Still doing about 19 with winter weather, slightly bigger tires, lifted a bit over 1" and a lot more weight on the front end.
Yeah, it's better in a lot of ways.
Especially considering I can tow a load and get better mpg than my Chevy did towing roughly the same load. The JT's 3.6 has a lot more HP than the 4.0
I couldn't tow as well with a 4.0 as I can with the 3.6

Don't get me wrong - I'm a big 4.0 fan (I've had several and still have one)............. but.......

Welcome to the "I'm driving a brick down the road club" I seen a slight difference than "ShadowPup" did I got a slight loss from AT to HT (OEM). Then the "big" hit going from 245/75r17 to heavy ass AT 33/10.5r17 I dropped 4-5 more mpg. But it did actually correct speedometer /odometer reading. Been getting 17-18 mpg since.

Freedom edition here (sport s w/ steel bumpers) and max tow. I threw on new wheels and 35’s along with a lvl kit in the front. Adjusted the realistic tire size in the computer with a tazer. Currently get an average of 15mpg city and 17.5 highway (70mph tops) no other mods and hauling nothing but my wife and kid. Gas guzzler for sure. I live in Florida so it’s as flat as you can get and I feel like I drive like a grandma.

Funny because I see some of these pictures of ppl with their dash at like 22mpg+ who swear they run 35’s and are not diesel. I don’t doubt the pic but somethings got to give because I know my setup and I don’t get near that.

Lol yup these issues are def self inflicted. But not complaining. It’s all relative anyways. Whenever I feel bad, I just think about my friend who gets 8mpg with his chevy.

Your jku has the same engine as the JT, and weighs at least 550 lbs less than a JT. Perhaps much more than that, depending on options on both. Our JT is about 700 lbs more than our JKU. As a result, the mpg is pretty much identical to the JT. Advances in technology and different gearing are cancelled out by the added weight of the JT. A JLU would do better mpg-wise. We're heavy!

Florida weather has been in the 80’s for the past week so I can’t blame winter. I also have 4.10 due to the max tow like others. I’m going to take a swing and say it’s the load range E tires I’m running for these 35’s ? wasnt my first choice but it’s what was in stock. I’ll be getting C range next tires for sure. My wheels are 17” fuel beast. While I’m sure they’re heavier than stock, I cant imagine they’re that much heavier than some of these other wheels I see people runnin.

Sport S - do we know if it's max tow or not - 3.73 or 4.10 gearing?
I'd think 4.10s would be fine with 35" tires.
However - you made me think to ask -

When the tires were changed HOW was the speedometer/odometer recalibrated? Is it accurate or was a number plugged in that someone gave him and it was called good enough?

Have you ever seen one person with Max Tow not mention it like they’re laying their 10” dick on the table?

Stock 4.1 gearing. Stock wheels, Bridgestone Revo-3s (e-rated). No lift though. I'm sure that will change things.

I have E Load Revo 3s. I chose them based on past experiences with Revos and their weight. They’re light and I loved my original Revos, Revo 2s, and now my Revo 3s. Great tire.

I just realized I have almost 30k miles on mine and they still look fairly new.

You mean 12 inches, sucks your jeeps got you in the 3 inch club, there's parts you can get to up your size though, just sayin

Run that on the MOJAVE .w/35/11.50s and you'll Look at 14 in town and 17 Hwy (70mph cruise).

I actually found that cruise control gave crappy MPG vs. using my own foot. About a 2 MPG difference.
