can you provide more info on your 285 tires ? I’ve got a stock Overland and wold like a wider tire but don’t want a rough ride and more road noise. Thnx!
I have Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 3s. They’re E load, but they ride good and handle great and are really great in the rain. Also, they only weigh like 55 lbs IIRC. However, unfortunately, I don’t see that size listed anymore (285/70/18). You’d have to go a little bit smaller with a 275/70/18 or a 285/65/18. The 285/65 would be a little bit wider than the 275/70/18, but about the same height.

my wife hated a Rubi I had with 33” MT tires so I need something that doesn’t make her mad. I’d like wider but not real aggressive. I like the looks of the Bridgestone. How would you describe road noise?

I can’t hear them. I have almost 30k miles on them and I’ve had them rotated every oil change, thank you Jeep wave, but I still can’t hear them. I’ve had other A/Ts start off quiet and get loud is why I mention that. The Silent Armor A/Ts that were OEM on my Canyon All Terrain were louder brand new and they’re tame for an A/T.

I’m not trying to over sell them, but I’m really happy with them. It handles better than with the OEM all season 255s. The ride and noise level is the same.

@SkyKing if you buy them only run 34-35 PSI. They wear evenly and the ride is good. When I first had them installed they had like 45 PSI in them and the ride sucked.

I bet. That sounds very high. I’ll swing by Firestone tomorrow and see what they say.
Seems like OEM 18” wheels may limit choices. I like my wheels, don’t want to change them.

I don’t notice any more road noise than it had before. The truck tracks better with wider tires. Less steering correction. Also rides a bit smoother than stock.

How do you like the tires so far? Did they improve the ride? Hows the road noise vs OEM tires?
How’s it steer now? I just had a new gearbox installEd…
See my post above. Pretty much everything improved over stock, with road noise having no noticeable increase for me.

I disconnected the front sway bar just to see if I could get any rubbing. No rubbing here! I think these are about as big as you should go on a non lifted sport or overland.

I hated the look of my Dueler H/Ts I sold them basically brand new for $300 just to I didn’t have to look at them anymore and they were over $200/tire on tire rack.

My Overland has OEM wheels 18x7.5.
Apparently from what I’m reading in specs, 285 tires need a 8” wide wheel.
How wide were your stock wheels?

I haven’t heard that. Maybe due to your wheels being 18”. Mine are 17x7.5 i think.
