2021 JT Mojave - Stock - 8300 miles. This morning I slowly pulled out of the garage in reverse. The sound was odd enough that I kept the windows down and radio off to further identify en-route to work this morning ... Heard it when decelerating to a full stop. I took a brief video and the sound is present however subtle in this video ... I will try to record again this afternoon. Hoping to get opinions from some of the more experienced gear heads on the forum prior to going to the dealer. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

That sounds like the seal barking noise the FAD makes when something is wrong with it. I haven't experienced that but others have tested it by putting the truck in 4hi and if the noise goes away, fingers are pointed at the FAD.

Does it sound like a ghost going wooooo, but high pitched? If so that’s a normal sound. Our gladiators are haunted when going in reverse.

Big thanks for the input! I will definitely do that on my way out today ... A quick FAD issue search and it appears you are correct ... The description by others is the same as well the procedure to confirm ... yet to hear a video but will continue my search ... Dealer is supposed to call me back shortly for scheduling to get it in ...

Timing is everything ... Needed a laugh this morning ?

I had a rubber squawking noise in the suspension that started around 8k miles. Also a Mojave. unbloted the lower shields on all 4 shocks. Lifted the body to extend shocks. Put a little silicone grease on the shafts and lower. All noise gone. The culprit on mine was the left front. Seems there is a rubber dust boot that gets dry and noisy. Good so far for another 2k miles. YRMV.

I had the same issue with my 2020 JT LE. It turned out to be the framis located just aft of the petrteglom shaft which rides on the inertial obysglime unit was in dire need of lubrication. Hope that helps :).

The dealer scheduled me for a week out ... drove it the next morning and the noise is gone! ... gone for now at least,as I'm sure it will recreate itself at some point ... hopefully before the warranty period expires ?‍♂ ...
