I want to start a Web Development company in Florida, but I have no idea what I need to do in order to make that happen. I googled Florida LLC and came up with some forms. I'm worried there might be other details I should know about before registering. What books should I read to gain a better knowledge of starting an small business?

When I did mine 25 years ago I just bought some $100 dollar software called Incorporate. I think Legal Zoom bought them out. You just picked the state, filled out the forms, printed them out and visitied my local state gov office, paid the fees and done.

One tip, was my company was called Digital Color Graphics. So I filled out the forms as Digital Color Graphics, Inc.
I presented the forms to the lady behind the counter at the state office building and she said, "Do you want it as Digital Color Grahphics, Inc? Or Digital Color Graphics?"

I asked what she meant and she stated that if I registered as , Inc. then all my signage, literature, business cards, etc had to be , Inc. But....if I just registered as Digital Color Graphics, then I could just add , Inc. When I wanted to.

I thought that was a cool tip.

I'd recommend you to start with YouTube videos or explain your situation to an AI. If you have basic understanding, then you can read forums. There are few active Subreddits dedicated to LLC topic. They helped me, this one for example https://www.reddit.com/r/llc/.
Also, I found a website with business tools where you answer some questions and get pretty accurate personalized recommendations on forming an LLC https://howstartllc.com . But of course it's much better to consult a CPA.
