Great share, enjoyed reading ALL that! We just finished the Mojave Road route, a measly 140 mi from Bullhead to Barstow, also loved the historical monuments, mines, caves, fort, etc along the way. Desert scape is awesome!

Nice!

I did the Wa BCDR on adventure bike few years back. Been thinking of the ID ride, it starts in Jarbridge.

We saw several adventure bikes in Jarbidge when we went through. That area of Northern Nevada was amazing and surprising. We never knew that type of landscape was in Nevada.

I think the saloon in Genoa, NV might take issue with that “oldest saloon in NV” claim

Yes it is. Actually Genoa is the oldest settlement in Nevada. About 45 minutes from our house

There's a trip planned on the Overland Bound forum right now. My buddy @tjZ06 did a portion of the IDBCR last year as well

I've been looking at the AZBCDR too

Love this post... We are scheduled to do this trip in October. Idaho BDR will be done in August, looking so forward to both. BTW, Wyoming BDR 2023.

I have done the NMBDR and loved it. This one looks even better. Is there a time of year that this can be done without hot weather? I get enough of that here in Texas. Also, what is the slide out you have in the rear bumper? Thanks for sharing an awesome trip and write up.

It's tough to do the entire thing without some hot weather. If you go too early in the year the northern sections still have snow. My guess would be late fall before the snow flies is your best bet.

The rear bumper is the DV8 drawer bumper. It's a great idea in theory but we've had troubles with dirt and grit getting into the slides and jamming it. Also the latch got jammed open for a time so the drawer would sometimes open part way while driving. I wouldn't really recommend it.

In the future I think we are going to go with a tire carrier bumper like Expedition One makes. They are expensive though so that won't be for a bit.

Amazing area! We stayed in Minden last year for a motorcycle rally. The roads and scenery around Lake Tahoe and Virginia City were awesome. We even spent a day riding through Yosemite. Such a great trip!
As I type this we are actually camping in Washoe Lake State Park and took the Jumbo Grade trail over to Virginia City for the day. Fun trail and a great town!
