Seriously? I wish my Gladiator handled like my 2017 Canyon All Terrain did. My dad has a 2018 Colorado Z71 and it handles great also. Especially, now after new tires and an alignment. They feel like sports cars in comparison. I like my Gladiator better, but in terms of power and handling, they are night and day better. My 2018 Chevy Colorado was worse than my 2022 JT Willys. That thing hopped all over the place when I hit bumps.
mine handled awful. I just came from a ram 1500 with air ride and this being my first jeep, it actually rides pretty well. Mine is a Willys which apparently has the JL rubicon shocks but I can’t say Im experiencing what he is experiencing.Seriously? I wish my Gladiator handled like my 2017 Canyon All Terrain did. I don’t get that. I’ve had all kinds of trucks. From full sized to mid sized and those were the best handling trucks I’ve had. I’m bad about getting a new truck every 1-2 yrs. I will say that my Gladiator is the best riding truck I’ve ever had, but far from the best handling. The 09+ Ram 1500s do handle well. I had one of those as well.mine handled awful. You have the fox shocks and springs, right?I don’t get that. I’ve had all kinds of trucks. From full sized to mid sized and those were the best handling trucks I’ve had. Edit: I’ll also say that my truck’s handling really came alive when I bought these tires. Mild for an A/T, but an amazing tire.

Rubicon springs*You have the fox shocks and springs, right?
Yes, but it handles way better now than stock. I did it in stages. First I did the shocks only and it improved the handling a lot. So did my fox steering stabilizer, but that was really just improving steering feel. Then later I did the spring swap. The stock Overland set up is terrible. Lots of body lean and like zero connection to road feel. It also bounced so much after hitting a bump. The rubicon shocks alone pretty much eliminated the floaty, uncontrolled ride and helped with the body lean. You have the fox shocks and springs, right?
Aren’t the Rubicon springs and shocks stiffer, though?Yes, but it handles way better now than stock. I did it in stages. First I did the shocks only and it improved the handling a lot. On the stock set up, if I hit a big bump, it would bounce up and down 2-3 times before leveling out like I was running OEM shocks with like 150k miles on them. The Fox shocks cut it down to like 1.5 times.
Yup. I don’t understand how it’s not rougher when I hit large bumps. When I first installed them I was baffled, so I was driving over speed bumps and curbs and stuff trying to understand. I’m pretty much convinced that it’s my Dueler A/T Revo 3s.Aren’t the Rubicon springs and shocks stiffer, though?
That’s where I’m at now, I want to do everything I can to ensure I have the best riding gladiator.Yup. I don’t understand how it’s not rougher when I hit large bumps. My tires don’t ride better than the Bridgestone all season tires, they ride about the same, they just feel more stable. The first thing I did to my Jeep was the tires. Tires, shocks, then springs. That’s where I’m at now, I want to do everything I can to insure I have the best riding gladiator.
You change everything out yourself or have it done?My tires don’t ride better than the Bridgestone all season tires, they ride about the same, they just feel more stable. The first thing I did to my Jeep was the tires. Tires, shocks, then springs.
Myself. It’s easy. However, you say you like your ride better right? I wouldn’t mess with it. I don’t like a floaty ride. You might. Ride is so subjective. All I can say is if you want a different look then that’s a fantastic riding A/T.You change everything out yourself or have it done?
I do enjoy floaty Cadillacs… lolMyself. It’s easy. However, you say you like your ride better right? I wouldn’t mess with it. I don’t like a floaty ride. You might. Ride is so subjective. All I can say is if you want a different look then that’s a fantastic riding A/T.
except, the tire installation.
