I heard somebody say why can't they build it with IFS for Sport and Sahara/Overland/Mojave and then give the Rubicon the solid front axle? Then everybody is happy.I don’t see any reason at all we couldn’t have both. A strong case could also be made for the Mojave to be IFS #FlameSuitON! LOL![]()
On paper that's a great idea but in reality I don't think they'd do that. One of the big benefits of IFS is that they could shorten the chassis considerably and make the truck shorter overall. If they did some with IFS and some with solid front axles they'd have to build two totally different frames, suspensions, etc. and it wouldn't be cost effective.
